Went back to the Bavarian Bier cafe on Tuesday night with Chris and his brother.. I’m addicted to their Giant Schnitzel Challenge now, it don’t get much better (and more calorie-ishious) than that! At just $15 for the meal, it features a GIANT, and I mean GIANT schnitzel draped over thick-cut fries and comes with a (teeny tiny) whiff of a salad. Finish the whole thing and you get a free Schnapps. Whee!

Also had a casual dinner with Chris the other night at BBQ King in Chinatown – randomly decided on because we were craving some good ‘ol roast duck. The food was brilliant, hearty and delicious. Was absolutely jaw-droppingly shocked when I saw the bill though – considering it’s more of a hole-in-the-wall type of place, it was INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE!! It was almost $60 for the 2 of us, and all we had was 2 dishes. They charge extra for rice, extra for tea, extra for abso-bloody-lutely everything. Not happy. Not to mention the dishes themselves were incredibly expensive. For that reason I won’t ever go back.. and will probably just buy the roast duck from their takeaway stand next door.

Hee yeah, the boys do look like in deep conversation. Next time I go to the Beer Caf, I’m definitely taking a takeaway container with me! 😛

Chris and his bro don’t really look alike. The service at BBQ King is absolutely terrible, just like their suckling pig. And prices are expensive. Definitely not worth it but I agree, I do enjoy their Roast Duck. Thats about it really 🙂

As for the giant schnitzel, I prefer the schnitzel at St James…. if only it came in the same size as the one at BBC! And with a green apple schnapps chaser!

Yeah BBQ King annoyed me with their $60 charge for 2 dishes.. geez. Takeaway is fine from their stall next door, but the restaurant does suck!
