Couple of friends and I decided to meet up after work for dinner yesterday evening, and I convinced everyone to go to Kingsford Chinese.. since I hadn’t been there in ages and was going through some seriously bad cold turkey! We arrived at around 6:30 but as usual it was packed.. we did get a table though, fortunately. We were starving and ate within 20 mins, just as well because there were tons of people milling outside as we were leaving, eagerly waiting for us to vacate our table so they could have it! No one had been there before (except me, of course) and the unanimous verdict was “Delicious!” 😀 And it worked out only at around $12pp, a real deal considering we had seafood and ate ourselves silly. I was put in charge of ordering (naturally, hee!) and chose all their star dishes – you just can’t go wrong ordering these!

Complimentary pork & veg soup – disappointingly, it was cold 🙁
Minced Beef & Egg Fried Rice – a staple of mine!
Sang Tung Chicken – their speciality, the chicken was sooo tender and juicy
Salt & Pepper Calamari – the calamari was springingly perfect and the
batter was so so light and crisp!
Braised Beancurd with Mushrooms and Broccoli – didn’t bother
eating this.. I only ordered it for the ones that wanted to be healthy!
Sweet & Sour Fish – the best in the world. Seriously. I have not eaten any better.
After that, we hit the movies for the opening night of Pirates of the Caribbean!! Was so so so excited to watch it (all 3 hours worth!), mainly because of Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. They are both so hot in the movie 😉 Though Orlando Bloom still wins, his boy-ish looks totally get me. It was an action-packed movie and I loved the fight scenes, though I fear I may be slow or something, because I didn’t follow all the plots and sub-plots! It got really confusing trying to follow who was on who’s side, and who was betraying who. Errrr….! I think I may have to watch it another time. And also, many parts of the movie was kinda out there and weird, almost dream-like. Very strange! Still loved it though 🙂
I loved Pirates 3 too!! I was pleasantly surprised because I really wasn’t expecting much, especially since it was almost 3 hours and I thought the last Pirates was absolute rubbish.
I still don’t think much of Orlando Bloom, he’s too clean cut for me 😛 I can see why he is attractive, and I think I would have gone crazy over him when I was 13! 😀 But nowadays I like my men weird and quirky, like Johnny 😛 (And Adrien Brody – woohoo!! :D)

The fried rice looks yummo! It’s funny coz I’d normally go for fresh steamed rice instead…it’s usually the thought of using left over rice in the fried rice that deters me =)
I usually don’t get fried rice either cos it’s not that exciting. but this one is AWESOME!
haha i remmember the only food i love from Daniel was the ‘sweet and sour calamari’ or maybe once in a while he made pretty good apple crumbles for dessert 😛 anyway, there are so many nice food place nearby! 😀
