It’s so exciting to get the keys! I remember when I got the keys to my flat during my lunch hour at work one day, I just walked to my new place put the keys in for the first time and just wandered around imagining where everything would go, it was awesome!
Hmmmm, I just did a quick could and have about 20 pairs work/going out shoes and 15-20 casual, give or take a few, so 40 sounds alright to me!

yeah, that was a tactless thing for a saleswoman to say. one time when i was trying on a suit the lady asked me, “jeez, are you on the nicole ritchie diet?” so yeah…i guess when you’re on THIS side of the scale we just have to put up with that. anyways, she probably meant it to be a compliment…in a passive-aggressive jealous sort of way.

Grats on the keys and new place. Absolutely adorable chocolates for Easter! I have 4 pairs of shoes, and it’s too many for me to deal with but given that you work and wear lots of different kinds of clothes and styles it’s NOT excessive. When you hit 400, it is. The SA was jealous, clearly, and mad at something else before you came along. And she had zero chance of making a sale given their sizes and yours so she got snotty. I’m very fat and I get the opposite all the time. People think nothing of stopping me in restaurants and telling me not to have dessert, or in the supermarket looking in my cart and commenting on what I am buying, etc. Pffft.
I’m trying not to exchange too much chocolate for Easter.. but it’s hard to exercise self control 😛 I seriously cannot believe people would say stuff like that to you, OMG, I’m sad that people think they have the right to say personal things to others.. at least keep it to yourself! :X

They’ve hired so many new people since I’ve left there a few months ago and they’re not the best..

Grats on the keys and new place. Absolutely adorable chocolates for Easter! I have 4 pairs of shoes, and it’s too many for me to deal with but given that you work and wear lots of different kinds of clothes and styles it’s NOT excessive. When you hit 400, it is. The SA was jealous, clearly, and mad at something else before you came along. And she had zero chance of making a sale given their sizes and yours so she got snotty. I’m very fat and I get the opposite all the time. People think nothing of stopping me in restaurants and telling me not to have dessert, or in the supermarket looking in my cart and commenting on what I am buying, etc. Pffft.
I’m trying not to exchange too much chocolate for Easter.. but it’s hard to exercise self control 😛 I seriously cannot believe people would say stuff like that to you, OMG, I’m sad that people think they have the right to say personal things to others.. at least keep it to yourself! :X

yeah, that was a tactless thing for a saleswoman to say. one time when i was trying on a suit the lady asked me, “jeez, are you on the nicole ritchie diet?” so yeah…i guess when you’re on THIS side of the scale we just have to put up with that. anyways, she probably meant it to be a compliment…in a passive-aggressive jealous sort of way.
and 40 pairs is not too much…especially if you work hard for them! :o)

i really don’t know why people think they have the right to commment on mine or anyone’s slenderness. i ignore it but the double standard still bugs me. it’s wrong to make comments to overweight people, but if you’re it’s ok to be made to feel inadequate….jealous.
