Post-Christmas
Our loot
Too lazy to list out everything we bought but the most interesting was the stuff from SK-II! Bought the Air Touch Foundation and the large-size Essence, and the SA gave an absolute mega-load of gwps and such.. plus an awesome SK-II silver/burgandy umbrella!
SK-II Air Touch Foundation – total rave reviews online. Ludicrous price that
broke the bank.. but it was sooooo worth it! Dad (ie. regular guy that never
notices anything) even said “Did you do something? You look really glowy” YAY!
SK-II Facial Treatment Essence – a must-have product for me. It’s what makes my skin glowy.
SK-II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion – great toner
SK-II Facial Lift Emulsion – for mum
A bunch of various Whitening Source stuff gwps, for mum
SK-II Facial Treatment Mask – will sell this on eBay, too lazy to use it!
Umm.. and other stuff I think that I can’t remember off the top of my head!
Anyway, of course, we had to EAT EAT EAT to sustain ourselves through the 12-hour shopping day. So pics of the day’s food:
Tiong Bahru Chwee Kueh stall
Yummy Chwee Kueh with coffee and milo (yes, still obsessed with it!)
Tiong Bahru Lor Mee stall
I’m a big fan of Lor Mee now! So tasty
Freshly made Ming Jiang Kueh (ie. peanut pancake)
Fried Chicken with Noodles for lunch @ Centrepoint
Parkway Thai dinner @ Centrepoint
Red Chicken Curry – spicy spicy spicy! But so good.
Thai vermicilli – yum
Beans with Sambal chilli – oooo I loved this, so tasty
Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab – my FAVOURITE, the best I’ve had. Ever.
Steamed otah – pretty good
Red Rubies dessert – the BEST I’ve had as well. Ever.
I haven’t used SKII ever since they had that lead scare a few months ago. I miss it, but I’m too worried about the lead.
i think they recalled all their products affected so it doesn’t bother me anymore, i’m too impressed with the brand tonstay off it π

Me toooooooooooo, next to Gulab Jamun! where in Sydney can we get it, do you know??
i’ll be in SG last week of Feb π
i havent seen in sydney but im trying to convince my mum to tell alice to make it! will u still be in sg in 1st week march too? i think im leaving feb 14th to go k.l and then bangkok and then penang and ipoh and then sg
Oooo I’ll be 23 Feb -> 18 March or something like that! Your trip sounds so fun.
If Alice’s has it, I’ll be over the moooon. Is it authentic and YUM??
You’ve made me want to get the SK II airbrush foundation again after I lost interest in it because of the hefty price-tag! π
I thought it was $$ too so I resisted when it first came out.. but after she put it on me, i just HAD to. It seriously is so nice!
Oh ok…maybe I’ll get the SA here to try it on me and see if it works for me…..
> 1.2k?!! Gosh. Haha. But then SKII’s good, or at least IMO. I’ve always thought skincare products by Asian brand is better for us.
yeah, I like SKII and Jurlique skincare.. they’re the best IMHO!
Uh yeah, the Air Touch foundation got rave reviews on makeupalley.com. I really wanna give it a try, but it’s soooo expensive! You should post a pic of you wearing that foundation, Bev =)
Maybe try it at the makeup counter? I did and that’s what sold me, esp when my dad noticed (which is kinda amazing) π I can’t use makeup now cos of my LASIK but when I use the foundation, I’ll take pics!

great food pics as always….i’ve never heard of sk-11 stuf before here in the states, sounds good thus far…yeah i went crazy with the after xmas sales as well
SK-II is really amazing, i totally recommend their skincare. That and Jurlique are my faves π
good stuff!! chwee kuay is simply the best!!
I loooove it but it’s TOTALLY unavailable in AU:( π π
eat a few more rounds before going back to Australia
π
i’m so envious of the food you get to eat on an everyday basis.
i think that I was born in the wrong culture & continent.
No way, the USA has brilliant food.. I go bonkers whenever I visit π Absolute fave for me is In-N-Out burger in California
gee, i NEED to go down to Parkway Thai! =)
Being in SG all the time, one kinda forget about all the delicious stuff around us.. and we keep complaining about having nothing to eat!
Hahaha! Thanks for all the reminders!!! π
the MUST HAVE is the soft shelled crab.. and the red ruby. Both weret he best I’ve ever had. Ooo!!!

Happy Holidays to you too and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! HOpe you’re feeling better and have your voice back.
I wished you posted more pics of what you bought. Anyhow, you should also take some pics of the foundation too. Is it only available in Singapore?
I was a bit lazy to photograph everything π One that i love is a gold lame bag – it was only $26, what a bargain
The SKII foundation is available in Saks I believe. It’s not really a foundation though, it ‘lifts’ your entire complexion and makes you glow
I’ve heard so many good things about SK-II but I don’t think it’s available in WA. π
Well done on your shopping today! hehe
they’re products are really good! if you ever want a custom purchase just let me know π
Oh, you should try the mask! I haven’t tried SKII, but RMK have one like it and I love it. It’s actually really easy to use, as there’s no messy application or removal – just lay the mask over your face, get onto eBay for a while and then take it off – LOL π
Ya I used a few of the SKII masks before but they were a bit of a hassle cos they drip everywhere and I’m too lazy to do it.. haha!
Oh that’s a pity. The RMK one is different then, cause there’s nothing that can drip – it’s just a sheet you lay on top of your skin to let the stuff absorb π
Whoa! You have a big load to bring home!
I knooow.. gotta figure out what stuff to leave here and what to bring back. I bought clothes and all sorts of stuff too, eep!
how much is the air brush thing, babe? π
tiong bahru. π
ok i should stop correcting ya.
It’s SG$198.. but SO worth every cent, esp after my dad’s comment, haha.
I just corrected my misspelling – d’oh!
OMG. 200bucks! how long can it last?
mm, prolly i’ll consider after i had started working. im still shaking legs at home. =x
heehee. π
Only about 30 times – eek! Then each refill is $100 a pop :X
only?!
refill can use how many times?
Same, 30 times too.. it works out to about $3 per use, pretty $$!
waaaah. yeth, expensive! but worth it if its useful. apparently so! :)))
