All of us trooped on down to Moreton’s Hotel after work on Thurs night, for birthday drinks. It was my first time there (I think), it’s an awesome pub. Not too crowded and noisy, no creepy people.. and the food! Oooh! Was amazed that their menu was all $10 for dinner. It doesn’t get any better than that.

After an extensive perusal of the blackboard menu, I settled on the Moreton’ Steak Sandwich with salad greens, tomato salsa & chips. The steak was substantial and done medium-rare as requested, and the tomato salsa made it all really juicy. Totally satisfying, albeit incredibly difficult to eat 😉 I ended up just grabbing it with both hands and shoving it into my mouth.

Chris had the daily pie special, Guinness steak pie on mashed potato with peas. I only had a small, quick, bite before he gobbled everything up.. but it was yum and would make a perfect winter dinner. Other folk ordered various $10 dishes like Sirloin steak with salad and chips, Beer battered fish & chips, Bangers & mash, Satay chicken with rice and salad, etc. Such incredible value! We’ll definitely be back after work for the $10 dinners.
