Hadn’t been to KFC in… months??! So announced to Chris this week that we really needed our “KFC-fix” ASAP. Later in the week, he said he’ll take me out on a nice date to anywhere I want. My choice? “KFC!!!!” I am easily pleased.
The smell of the fried chicken drove me a little wild the moment we walked in. Ahhhh!!! Mmmmm. Took us ages to decide on what we wanted though, since we wanted best value and maximum food. Haha. Ended up with the Dinner For Two, with little ‘enhancements’, add-ons and changes as you’ll see in the photos below.
Was FANTASTIC.
Their new boneless chicken is the best. Okay, it’s actually kind of over-dosed with salt, but it’s still really good. Who can be bothered picking at chicken off the bone? I’d rather a big chunk of boneless chicken that I can stuff down my throat – yummy! Chips were fantastic as usual, as was the mashed potato. Coleslaw was also a lovely addition, since it’s all cool and sweet and kind of makes you feel all smug that you’re (sort of) being healthy.
Dessert was some cookies & cream cheesecake. I wasn’t fussed. Was kinda weird and spongey, I’d expected cheesecake to have cheesecake-like texture… not like mousse. Hrmm. Will stick with their chicken from now on.

KFC mmmm mmmm good! I am your opp, I like eating chicken with bones, nit picking bits & pieces off the bone and licking it clean, yummy!
I’m too lazy to pick and pick at it.. I just like to GRAB AND STUFF! haha!

Yes, here in S’pore… they call it… KFC chicken chop! Lol. Very salty through :S
Ooo it’s the same? I like this one cos it’s nice and moist and not dry, like the chicken strips. But yeah, it’s SO salty it makes your lips kinda numb :X
i have boycotted KFC ever since i’d read about them getting chicken from suppliers who raise their produce in less then humane conditions. but that’s just me.
i’ll rather eat fried chicken at other places like the malay style fried chicken in geylang and enuos markets. their spices taste….i dunnoe…more real.

I think McDonalds and KFC are the worst in terms of animal treatment, because they just want the volume pumped out and don’t care about their wellbeing. That said, it still tastes good 😛
I, too, would prefer the Indonesian/Malaysian style fried chicken.. but there isn’t really any around me, and certainly not good/authentic! 🙁

I like it ‘cos it’s chunky and still really soft (the strips are boneless but tend to be a bit dry). YUM!

Haha great minds think alike!!! I like the normal 2 or 3 piece feed, but I don’t like getting my fingers sooo oily and messy picking at the meat 😉

Yum, KFC is such a guilty pleasure. My family usually orders on Tuesdays because you get a chicken drumstick and wing with fries for 2.22.
Ahhh that is SUCH a good deal, I wish we had that here too! It was about AU$18 for the 2 of us.. quite pricey for ‘fast food’

Coleslaw, mashed potatoes..biscuits..macaroni and cheese..lots of “homey” comfort food side dishes, but no fries.
