Aww.. Bev, my condolences to you and your family. I had a similar experience last year when my grandma passed away. Having to drop everything at once and return to Singapore is not an easy thing to do. *hugs*

He’s with God so all is well Bev. I never quite believed how my grandma could leave me so suddenly when I was about to turn 14, the person whom I was closest to. It felt and still feels like she abandoned me. So I try to see it as she has been working hard and deserves eternal rest. Please do take great care and I hope the rest of your family’s doing ok at this point in time. My condolences.

Bev, I just wanted to offer my condolences. I went through the same thing just over a year ago, and I was completely blind to the fact that my grandpa’s health had been slowly deteriorating and it was the biggest shock when he passed away. And we were countries apart, as you are now, but just know that being with your family will make everything a lot more bearable and I hope the next couple weeks go as well as possible given the circumstances and that you can enjoy the company of family and friends and celebrate the memories.

My heart aches for you, Bev. I’m so sorry you couldn’t be there to say goodbye, I wasn’t able to do that for my own grandfather… but I realized that he knew how much I loved him. I’m absolutely sure your grandpa knows that too. 🙂

sorry to hear about your grandpa, good thoughts and wishes for you babes. Sorry I can’t say something insightful or witty. Though I can say when I lost my grandpa, it sucked bad, really bad. And I came to the realization that bad shit happens to good ppl no matter what happens in the world. I know it’s cold and bitter and sucky, but after he died I lost my faith. I hope you find the strength you have inside you already, and make it through….

The bloody hotel (a fancy shmancy boutique ultra $$$ hotel….. ironically) is being A REAL SHIT and not giving us a refund.

If you are within your right for a refund (eg. their policy says you should get one), and you paid by credit card, just do a charge-back.
