Located near the Intercontinental Hotel, the gang settled on eating at Chin Chin Eating House after Church on Sunday.. as it came highly recommended by Mum. It was hot inside but the huge fans helped, plus at least the service was friendly π The food was terrific! Everything was really juicy (it’s a weird way to describe all the food there, but it really was!) and so cheap too – at only a few bucks per dish. We left totally stuffed and satisfied :)~
Chin Chin Eating House
Chicken rice (drizzled with thick black sauce), broth and a chilled longan drink
Steamed Hainanese Chicken – their star dish!
Fu Yoong Omelette – egg with seafood, nice and simple
Deep-fried fish with Thai sweet chilli sauce – really loved this,
the fish was so soft and smooth on the inside!
Mutton Claypot – Didn’t try this.. was too full π
Pork Chops with Sweet Sour Sauce – my favourite dish. It was PERFECT.
Another Pork dish – didn’t have any though, it looked too fatty for my liking
Sizzling Tofu – always a fave tofu dish of mine π
Sambal Kang Kong – yum yum!
chin chin has good food! I love drizzling dark black soya sauce over my chicken rice too! the pork chop is awesome. my parents are fans of chin chin but they said standard drop … the hot plate tofu, ME LOVE!! esp the runny egg & gravy … {:)~~~~
Wow i wonder what the food was like before then! I totally loved it :)~
ooooo *drools* this stop is a must-visit during my next visit home.. awww.. really miss home now!
It was my 1st time eating there and I have to say, it was really good! Every dish was just fab π
My fav are the pork chops and the sambal kangkong. My dad speaks hainanese to them, so more often than not, we get a slightly bigger serving…lol
that’s the advantage of being hainanese when ordering chicken rice i’m taught to do that too! π
Awww lucky, hehehe! Wish I could do that too π
hhaha, I try to do that too, but I’m just embarrassed what if the owner isn’t Hainanese….so I only do that at places where I’m absolutely sure they are one…
Pork chops were my fave by far, they were so fat and soft.. yum!

OMG I *love* all the food in this entry! Arrggghhh I’m hungry! =P
I love simple, good fodder in Singapore *slurps*
The food looks rather basic and plain to me, but I bet its one of those places, which you can always rely on, when you are hungry!
Every eating place has it’s own quirks and way of cooking that makes it a bit different from others. for this place, it was def the Pork chops.. they were AMAZING!
