Chris insisted on taking me to Wrapido for brunch today, as someone at work told him they served a fabulous breakfast/brunch. It was packed in there! Every table was filled and they were all packed in tightly together, not to mention there was a constant stream of takeaway coffee orders. We were lucky to get a seat and ordered quickly.
The mocha came out within a few mins – it was sublime. So creamy with a thick froth on top, and made perfectly. Our meals took around 15 mins to arrive, not too bad, especially since the waitress was so sweet. Mine was Ricotta hash browns with poached eggs, fresh asparagus, smoked salmon & lime/dill hollandaise sauce and it was so decadant, but utterly satisfying. It really was similar to eggs benedict, but with that ricotta hashbrown stuff instead of a muffin – which I prefer anyway. They gave a TON of smoked salmon though, so I ended up giving Chris a couple of slices.
Chris got an Open-faced omelette with chorizo sausage, Spanish onion, slow roasted tomato, pesto potato & goats cheese. It was MASSIVE! Like a pizza, really.. but the base was the omelette instead. It was really really good and so hot and filling, perfect on a cold winter morning. Delish π
It was a lovely (and really filling!) brunch, but really not somewhere we’d go to every week. Why? It was nearly $40 and we didn’t even really order that much, nor was it a super fancy place. So $$$!!! So next time I’ll cook brunch myself instead π
