That pancake thing is not a martubak!
It’s a ming chiang kueh!
Vanessa is really pretty now!!
Heh it really is martabak.. it originated in indonesia and has chocolate, cheese, condensed milk and butter and peanuts in it.
Then SG decided to put out their own version but it has either chocolate OR cheese OR whatever.. not everything combined, then called it ming jiang kueh! I much prefer the martabak though – it tastes better ‘cos so much stuff inside π
Yeah Vanessa’s all grown up!
Really?!!? That’s cool, you learn something new everyday!! π
SG doesn’t have it.. at least not that I know of. Wish it did, it’s seriously SO GOOD!!!! :)~~~~

I could read it on my computer at work, but this one at home just shows lots of “????” hehe
Xin Nian Quai le to you!!
Cool, a Spam stall! π
With free samples, no less!! π π π
I’m so hungry now…
Hee.. the food was good.. I wish I was in SG though, it’s spectacular there during CNY!
Should have stayed bit longer in Sg to celebrate CNY before flying back to Aussie! π
I know π CNY and Xmas are *just* a little bit too far apart to warrant staying there.. I wish it was just a few weeks closer!
Oh my gosh, that pancake….
It was yummm… but bad for us to look at, considering our diet plan! π
i LOVE your icon btw, haha!
LOL, once I lose this weight (hopefully by August) I plan to visit LV on our anniversary weekend (same as last year) and purchase the Damier Speedy 25 (if it has arrived in Australia by then). Yay!!
Hey can you tell me if you think this is dodgy or real?
The auction has closed, however I have been e-mailing her back and forward and am considering meeting with her on Sunday to view the bag. Anything I should look out for? (I would take my Popincourt to compare the inside tags).
Ooo the damier speedy would be divine!! I’m on a bag drought at the moment, feel guilty spending so much :X
As for the auction, I can’t say at all since she pretty much has no photos of the bag, except a far away one where you can’t see anything!
Since she claims she bought it at a Melb store, just look at the receipt for her full name (or ask her for it), then call the LV store and ask them to verify – they’ll have her name and the bag on file if she did buy it from them π Easiest way to authenticate it!
You are a legend!!! I will do that π
I’m waiting for you to sell one of your bags π I trust you so would definintely give you my money π I just don’t trust most people!
Hehe I am selling a few designer pieces on eBay at the moment, if you’re interested!
ooo what’s your Ebay username? My e-mail is [email protected] if you don’t want to make it public π
Happy new year! What time were you there? We went to Chinatown too!
We were there abt 2-4pm! It was soooo hot..
Gong Xi Fai Cai! Sheng Ti Jian Kang~! π
Love your pictures. :)))
Hehe thank you, Gong Xi Fa Cai to you too!!
I’m so hungry now…
Hee.. the food was good.. I wish I was in SG though, it’s spectacular there during CNY!
My friend (who also reads your lj) told me that she was at Chinatown and she spotted you! You’re famous Bev! Haha.
Oooo haha, she should’ve said hi! I hope I wasn’t doing anything embarassing like stuffing my face with food π
Siew Mai with SPAM!!!!

Ooooh CNY parades are always cool, I bet they’re awesome in NY!
I went to Chinatown here in Melb on eve as well and it was really packed. I think we had almost the same stuff including the bwakwa which was 3 dollars a piece *faints. Ah, but it’s only once a year anyway. Pretty fun but nothing beat celebrating CNY back home aye?
Ahhh the one we had here was $5 per piece!!!! It was so expensive, grrr.. but of course, we couldn’t resist and bought 3 pieces anyhow π
And ya, wish I was in SG celebrating, but this was ok π

Happy Lunar New Year!
Yeah we put HEAPS of sashimi cos we all love it.. and lots of those crackers too – yum!!
