say Bev, where can i find the best char kway teow in sydney? since now i’m craving for it.. hahha
I took your recommendation on the prawn laksa & went to Laksa House @Clarence St the other day. It was superb!! Big portion, too.. π
Oh that’s easy! best CKT is by far at Alice’s.. which is at Thornleigh, near Domino’s pizza. They’re open lunchtimes (but closed on Sun) and are super authentic and their CKT is to die for! Chris’ fave.. he eats CKT everywhere he goes π
I love the laksa at Laksa House too!! Their mee siam’s a little iffy, not very authentic.. but the laksa is fab π

yeh you would have hit a shocker of a traffice because there was a women’s christian conference on for about 2000 women, and there were heaps of people driving up! although i think traffic was just atrocious cos it was wet, rainy and a friday!
I didn’t know that! But yeah.. all that coupled together and we were *crawling* – it was so painful π
Your laska looks delicious! And the char kway teow looked really hot. I can see the chilli and feel “red hot” sensation.
Ya.. both the laksa and char kway teow had bits of chilli in it. It was insanely spicy!! *fans mouth*
Oooo that looks amazing!!! π
The hotel was super nice! I def like it more than the stark white walls Hilton/Hyatt type hotels have..
Hi beverly! it seems like you live a VERY exciting and always eventful life! im sooooooo boring compared to you!! anyway, those dishes look sooooooooooooo good! how come i never got to try the laksa when i was in singapore????? hahaha
Heh I feel the opposite.. I find my LJ friends lead really interesting lives! It’s all relative I guess π
Singapore laksa is sooooooo good, I only ‘discovered’ it last year and I’m in love!
