Poor Bev!!! US airports are not that friendly and are awful. I don’t like them too. I feel really stressed out every time I travel so it’s not only you. The only airport that I don’t feel stressed out is Changi. I hope your shopping is going to be good and hopefully you’re feeling better today.
They weren’t exactly nice or helpful, I have to admit :X
well, I’ll make up for lost time today! π
I think your reaction at the airport was totally normal if you were tired, and anxious ! It was definately not your fault that your colleague had to wait for you, I guess he understood that it was out of your control right ?
He understood, but I totally ruined his 1st day in the USA (the airport and hotel are so far apart!) and I feel bad :X too bad he’s not a girl, or Id’ get him a bunch of flowers as thanks!
What a horrible experience π I m glad you managed well after all. Have a very nice & day of sight seeing!
BTW how long does it take from Australia to Fiji?
AU to Fiji is about 3-4 hours.. I never knew, itll make a good holiday destination π
Hi Bev.. I’m confused. Did you go back to San Jose AGAIN? after just coming back from there not long ago? π
Yeah.. back again in SJ for another week!
How stressful! You should go on a shopping spree tomorrow! =P

I definitely know for one how you feel hun, travelling does take it out of you.. especially icky delays. Fingers crossed for a safe, speedy return.
(PS. Skybeds rock!)
Yeah, I’m not a good traveller either :X At least the Skybeds almost made up for it, heh!
Oh. Sounds like a terrible nightmare.
At least you’ve finally got there, bag and all too. π
Yeah, finally after twice the actual allocated flight-time *sigh*
well, hopefully the flight back will be ok!
I’m so sorry to hear about your crappy experience!!!! *big hug* at least you got to San Jose safe and sound π
Thanks π Yeah, I thought I’d never get here!
Poor you! You deserve the little treats!
I think I will π I got a nice manicure just then so I’m a lil happier!

Too bad you can’t fly in to San Jose directly and avoid the hour long cab ride… seeing how you aren’t having much luck with cabs. Dang Bev, I feel really bad for you. I need to give you my phone number… I live near SF airport. So if you need a ride or anything else, at least you’d have someone to contact in the area to help you out.
Anyhow, I hope your visit is a good one… email me if you need anything.
Aww thanks Greg *hugs*
I FINALLY found my colleage and he has a car, so at least we’ve got transport. Except he’s never been to the USA before and I have no sense of direction, so we’re relying on his car’s GPS system. lol, hope it’s a good one!!
Well if you have a GPS, you’re good to go. You can’t get too lost. 101 and 280 are the major freeways. Take either of those North and you’re heading to San Francisco from San Jose, take them South to head towards Los Angeles. West takes you to the ocean, East takes you inland… towards New York. π
Like I said, you can’t get too lost… so maybe you’ll discover something fun. Also, if you’re going into the City, you can always drive to Millbrae (via 101N) and take BART, the transit system, which will take you to downtown shopping.
Have fun.
Haha.. i’ll get to NY if we drive a few days!:P Wish it was closer, I’d love to swing by.
It’s either Gilroy or Great Mall today, whichever is cooler.. haven’t decided yet. Can’t wait π
What a horrible experience π I m glad you managed well after all. Have a very nice & day of sight seeing!
BTW how long does it take from Australia to Fiji?
AU to Fiji is about 3-4 hours.. I never knew, itll make a good holiday destination π
So you were taken for a ride in SJ? Use the offical shuttle service?
Yeah.. at least I didn’t pay full fare :X No shuttle to my airport unfortunately!
Argh… This is awful. I can totally understand how you feel. I was stuck in Xiamen en route to Beijing and they airport staff just cannot decide which gate we should get on for the flight to Beijing. That was so much milder than yours but never failed to make me really upset about their efficiency. Just glad that you are safe. It’s never easy travelling alone.
Airlines always do that and they never compensate, which makes it really frustrating because you’re paying them, but subject to their whims :X Ahh!
aiyo, that’s quite a horrible experience!
What a way to start a trip off huh π Well, at least it can only get better!
Seem like you two are lost in transition, it is indeed a terrible situation to be in π
OMG, u r now officially the flying-saleswoman !
hopping between Southern and Northern Hemisphere in short period π
BevAir – a great way to fly !!! hehehe
Hehe.. well, I would’ve preferred if I’d had better flights. I just don’t take well to air travel :X
ohh, that is so awful..:(
i hate LAX airport, too. it’s mighty confusing & very tedious..
hope you feel better soon *hugs*
It was a really boring airport :X I woudln’t have minded being stuck there if there was actually something to do!
yup, welcome to the US, don’t it suck? yeah airports suck. surprised that you liked chili’s. i just like their south western egg rolls and drinks hee hee…well hope you like ur stay…and go shopping sephora is having a 50-75% sale!
Airports really do suck :X
I love the American cheese and steak rolls/sandwiches! And I am DEFINITELY going to Sephora, thanks for the tip π
oh man. that day really sucked. I hope you’re feeling a lot calmed down now after a rest!
and yes, go to the spa!
Ya.. I was expecting a lovely flight too :X
I took a long walk outside to get some fresh air, since I hadn’t had any in ages. Definitely made me feel better!
Go to the spa, and de-stress. You deserve it.
I really want to.. the discount is just a sign for me to get one, I think π
Aww what a day you’ve had!! Definitely cash in some of those discounts – you deserve it by the sound of it!
I like my discount book, it’s firmly in my bag n ow, hehe!
