I saw the socks in the store!! They were so cute but I don’t want to take my ipod in and out of it.. so I reckon a skin or case with an opening in the front is the way to go!

I dunno… I did get a cover for mine but found it way too bulky. And also, on reflection, I prefer the look of the metal to the look of the cover! But the metal on the minis is really sturdy and really doesn’t scratch very much – in spite of my perpetual clumsiness and constant dropping of things, mine is still in pretty good condition after more than a year.

Definitely get a case for it, otherwise they get scratched too easily. A leather case will also protect it from occasional accidents; my Poddie would be dead by now with the number of times I’ve dropped it if I hadn’t gotten her a case. 😛
I’ve got the white Coach one with the heart charm, it’s really cute…and I’ve added a Coach crystal star charm to it too. But I’ve got the 1st gen pink mini, and the colour is a lot softer than the new one- hence why the hot pink Coach didn’t match mine. In fact, it clashed really badly. 😛

I was hoping they don’t scratch easy 🙁 you know how the pink ipod is all metallic and nice tho, does having a skin on it totally spoil that and just make it look rubbery?
I think either a skin or a leather case is the way to go.. Which one has softer leather, the Coach or the eBay one? Ahhh decisions decisions!! 😛
I dunno… I did get a cover for mine but found it way too bulky. And also, on reflection, I prefer the look of the metal to the look of the cover! But the metal on the minis is really sturdy and really doesn’t scratch very much – in spite of my perpetual clumsiness and constant dropping of things, mine is still in pretty good condition after more than a year.
Ya same here.. I like the naked look of my ipod, haha. Hopefully it won’t scratch too much! Your year-long experience has got my hopes up 😛
Actually, I don’t think the minis scratch that easily, because the metallic finish is more textured than the normal white iPods, which are shiny and therefore every single little scratch shows up on them.
It’s just that unless you’re really careful not to ever drop it, it’s much safer to have a cover/case for it to protect it against impact and possible denting.
Maybe get the eBay one to start with, because as cute as the Coach one is, the suede looks like it would get dirty pretty easily, especially if you throw it in your bag or something. The leather on the non-Coach one is very soft, at least the one I have which I got from Hong Kong.
Yayyy that’s good I got a mini then, hope it holds up well. Wish we could change the casing when it gets scratched though.
The Coach one is pink leather! Real similar to the eBay one.. but yeah, if I get a case think I’ll get the eBay one first, it’s cheaper and I can decide if I *really* want to use a case before getting the Coach one 😛

There are 100s if not 1000s of cases available. There’s just too many to choose from! They review them on many sites too including ipodlounge.com. I’ve only got a white/clear silicon case on mine but looking at getting a different type later.

I would put it in protective casing so it doesn’t get scratched- so yeah, either a skin or a case. If you were to get a case, I would suggest one that you don’t have to slide it in and out of, as I found it scratched my iPod up.
