Aaaand, a night alone to spoil yourself isn’t so bad. When I’m feeling particularly sad and find myself alone, I try to do silly things like try on all my fancy clothes and put on my makeup and, I don’t know, just escape into the make-believe world that I used to live in when I was a kid.
Ahhh it’s 3 nights and 4 days.. WISH it was just 1 night! The longer we’ve been together, the harder it is to be apart :T But you’re so right – the time we DO spend together is heaps and heaps.. so we’re really lucky.

And then Chris came along and was so sweet and nice to me, and swept me off my feet 🙂

My soon-to-be-husband (!) and I are in a similar situation regarding the future, him being from a different country and wanting to move away from here at some stage. Luckily I don’t mind moving too much and we should be able to move somewhere which would suit both of us, workwise as well as in general. But it feels so complicated sometimes, compared to friends who are from Ireland and marry an Irish man and then settle down and buy their homes here 🙂
You guys are lucky, as you’re OK to move.. I’m just worried that if both of us are in really good jobs, we won’t want to leave. But if one of us could find a really good opportunity in the country that the other person is going to, then it would be perfect 🙂
But yeah, isn’t it easier to just marry a local guy?! But you never know who you might fall in love with hey.. 🙂

lolllll are you in Canberra? He was just complaining to me last night that it was freezing there 😛 He’s indoors at TechEd most of the time, but getting there and back is bad ‘cos you gotta brave the weather 😉

My soon-to-be-husband (!) and I are in a similar situation regarding the future, him being from a different country and wanting to move away from here at some stage. Luckily I don’t mind moving too much and we should be able to move somewhere which would suit both of us, workwise as well as in general. But it feels so complicated sometimes, compared to friends who are from Ireland and marry an Irish man and then settle down and buy their homes here 🙂
You guys are lucky, as you’re OK to move.. I’m just worried that if both of us are in really good jobs, we won’t want to leave. But if one of us could find a really good opportunity in the country that the other person is going to, then it would be perfect 🙂
But yeah, isn’t it easier to just marry a local guy?! But you never know who you might fall in love with hey.. 🙂

And, while I know it’s hard not being together on your anniversary, you should feel incredibly happy that you get to spend so much time with Chris the rest of the time. Though, I’m sure you already do.
Aaaand, a night alone to spoil yourself isn’t so bad. When I’m feeling particularly sad and find myself alone, I try to do silly things like try on all my fancy clothes and put on my makeup and, I don’t know, just escape into the make-believe world that I used to live in when I was a kid.
Ahhh it’s 3 nights and 4 days.. WISH it was just 1 night! The longer we’ve been together, the harder it is to be apart :T But you’re so right – the time we DO spend together is heaps and heaps.. so we’re really lucky.

Haha yeah.. that was when I first started Uni and experienced living away from my parents for the first time! IT feels like so long ago though..
I can’t believe it’s been four years already – I still remember rather clearly when you were in your last relationship!
Same here… wow time certainly flies. I remember Bev in high school and her last relationship. I stopped reading for a couple months and when I came back, Nick? was gone and Chris was in the picture. So somewhere along the line, I missed something.
I also remember trading realaudio clips of our voices to each other. I couldn’t believe that she sounded so English, while to her I sounded so Californian. Fun times.
OMG I must’ve been such a little kid then!! But yeah.. a few months into my first year of Uni, Nick and I broke up – it wasn’t working out as both of us never saw each other and never made the effort to, to be honest. And then Chris came along and was so sweet and nice to me, and swept me off my feet 🙂
