I’ve just travelled overland from Sydney to Cairns and spent 2 days on Fraser Island. It was easily the most beautiful place I went to on the trip. I seriously recommend staying there for as long as you possibly can – it’ll prob work out slightly more expensive, but I can promise you that if you don’t, you’ll regret it.

Just booked the flights, not sure what we’re going to do there yet though! What’s Krabi?
hehe.. fraser island is great! The whole island is made of sand.. but the only problem.. I COULD NOT GET ANY MOBILE RECEPTION OUT THERE!! Was dying seriously.. but I’m with optus, so you might be lucky with other network!! I went there ages ago with my ex bf and his family.. was a lovely trip.. heaps of bushwalking, driving around, getting stuck in sand etc.. but it was fun.. but NO PHONE RECEPTION!!! hehehehe.. I miss qld (O=
lol! Well Chris and my mum and dad will be there with me so it’s not too bad.. I’m not really hooked on my mobile, since most of my friends are on ICQ or MSN anyway. Thanks for the warning though, I’ll let my friends know before I go!

Hamilton Island!!!!!!!!! Ohhhhh you’re going to love it. It’s divine there. My friend’s father owns the hotels there so she gets to go there all the time for free *jealous*

On second thoughts, just wanted to let you know I’m not trying to scare you! But the dingo mauling was big news when it happened – hence all the comments I guess. 😉 I don’t think there’s really any danger as long as you remember they’re wild animals and keep a reasonable distance. It’s not like they just attack people for the sake of it.
lol I think I vaguely remember that now.. they still look cute IMHO. I will take pics if I see any 😉
My dad was saying if we camp out we can take turns watching out for dingoes. I was like “erm… oooookay”
