I agree with you that it isn’t very designer-ish for stores to hold a warehouse sale. The trend has hit Toronto, Canada.
Keeping in mind that the store is probably making loads of money because clothes are usually marked up 60%, even with 50% off, they are still making thier margins. The store is also saving money by not having to upkeep a store and hire/train long term staff. I also disagree with it because I think it ruins their brand name when stores hold warehouse sales.

I always thought warehouse sales had decent clothes, but this one had TONS of the same clothes and all were quite, erm, scungy looking. Plus the fact that girls were screaming and fighting just makes me want to run away. And yeah, $80 for a pair of jeans, even discounted, isn’t THHAAATT cheap considering it’s in a gross looking dirty warehouse!
