..a 3 min speech about our work, which was videotaped. OMG, I had no idea I looked like such a friggin’ dork in real life!! In photos I look fine cos I’m not moving or anything, but seeing myself in motion and moving was just cringeworthy. I can’t believe people don’t see me and laugh or go “You act sooooo weird”. It was painful to watch.

I cringe too when I catch myself on video, the way I talk, move, the image I seem to portray and I wonder if I would befriend myself if I knew me as a person. But I remember that I’ve tons of great friends as I am sure you do, who love and respect for who I am and I guess, all said and felt, that’s the most important (and reassuring) bit of the whole exercise.

Hahaha I thought the exact same things! It’s really bizzare looking at yourself – I mean, you probably are quite normal to others, but when you see *yourself*, it looks horrible.. craziness. Wonder how movie stars must feel huh? πŸ˜›

Wow .. If I’m not wrong, the guy at the back with a pair of sunnies on his head is Michael Tyler, we went to the same high school, and the last time I saw him was on our 10th year High School Reunion.

Can u confirm that for me ? I did recall that he’s doing some PHD of some sort… ;p

oh BTW, that’s a nice skirt you were wearing πŸ™‚

hehee. that’s one weird sun! πŸ™‚

don’t worry, you’re not the only one who thinks that way about seeing him/herself in action. i think i sound funny when they playback my recordings. and in 1st year, we were videotaped during an interview session too (us being the interviewers) .. and it was played in front of the whole tute class. *aaagh choke choke*

*lol* yeah, all of us were just cringing and going “arrrghh.. dont’ look!!” when we saw ourselves. I mean, I thought I looked and acted quite normal, until I actually SAW myself.. and it’s like “do I really DO that?!??!?!” Heheh.
