This Ange’s Part-ay doesn’t happen to be in North Sydney does it?
Re: partay
Nah, it’ll be in Randwick.. why?
I studyied natural medicine, and I remember our physiologist spoke about stitches being caused by lactic acid stuck in the muscles.
Now, lactic acid is in everyone. It’s a natural sugar required and an interim in burning energy. It also forms the constituent of mammory milk. That is, it is given to babies to save the initial chewing and digestion. It gives babies the energy more efficiently. Mother does all the initial conversion from starch and fat and sugar.
Lactic acid is not used by the brain, only glucose.
But I must admit, my mind goes blank here. I think that while the lecturer was explaining it, I was gazing at the Singapore girl next to me, and trying to work out how to see her after class.
So I don’t know the answer. But I think it’s related to the amount to carbohydrate eaten in the previous hour or two, and also, I recall that oxygen comes into the equation.
Anaerobic versus aerobic respiration. That is, lactic acid is produced when there is a shortage (or is it excess) of oxygen. It gives energy without air.
Thus, breathing deeper sooner may solve or reduce it (or does it make it worse ?)
Anyway, I would be interested in what you find.
Keep up the exercise. You look pretty fit and cute. I like your pictures.
After my course, I lost track of the girl who distracted me. But I met another and married. She’s Chinese.
Hey thanks for all that info! I never knew that.. guess I’ll monitor my breathing and try and breathe deep and see how that goes. What a hassle, I wish we could get fit and healthy just by sitting around and eating and surfing the Internet! Then i’ll be the fittest person in the world π
If that was the case, most of the world would be fit.
I think the world is breeding a new kind of animal, where the internet is the jungle.
