internships are great if they’re relevant to what you want to do in the future, even if they pay peanuts; you get job experience that will put you ahead of other candidates in the future; i know, that’s how i got my job now 🙂

Bev, enjoy your time here. Don’t work coz in Singapore, work is generally very demanding. You know, I think that when Chris comes, you want to be able to spend every minute with him here. You’re job wouldn’t let you do that. I believe that in Singapore. They pay ‘child labour’ wages. 🙂
Anyways, yeah, you can always try, but working in big companies would require that you work a full day and even Saturdays. Try to find something on a part-time basis.

it took me 3 months to find a job here in usa and they only pay me 5.65 an hour and on sunday they pay 6.12 an hour and i only work 8 hours a week so it brings in little cash.
what type of jobs are you looking into?

I’m mainly looking for computing and IT jobs, but if those aren’t available then I’ll probably settle for anything that’s relatively decent!
