Hunter, Things my kids say... SHARING WITH MY BROTHER 20 April 2013

Please disregard Carter’s down-turned mouth. I have no idea why he was doing that because he was gurgling happily seconds before I took this photo with my iPhone!

This is actually a HAPPY STORY 😛

See that little brown bag on the bottom-left? It’s actually supposed to be a fish (I thought it was rather creative to stuff a brown paper bag with newspaper, tie it up and decorate it with stickers!). Hunter made it in his play gym class and and came out after class proudly showing it off.

Carter, being the sticky beak that he is, spotted it and started flapping his arms up and down in excitement.

So Hunter tottered over, handed his fish to Carter and said “Here, Carter. Fish for you.”

It was significant because, if you’ve ever had a 2 year old who has a baby brother/sister, you’ll know how difficult it is to get the older sibling to share. It’s such a foreign concept! And so it was wonderful that Hunter had made something that he really liked, but gave it to Carter so his brother could play with it.

Happy to report that Carter LOVED it! Except he started chewing exuberantly on the tail and so I had to take it off him…. doh.
