HOLIDAYS, Living in... Singapore, Uncategorized SINGAPORE HOLIDAY! 5 November 2010

We’re off to SINGAPORE!!!

It’s going to be our…… Babymoon 😀 I know, I know, it’s a weird place for a Babymoon. I originally had my heart set on Boracay as I wanted to laze by the beach. But Chris vehemently and promptly vetoed that because he only wants to go for a Babymoon somewhere with top-notch hospital facilities, “just in case anything happens”. Which took Boracay, Bora Bora and Maldives out of the mix.. and basically anywhere near the beach! The single country he only agreed to was Singapore.. which he thinks is a good idea because we can stock up on our baby essentials for a lot cheaper than in China, so it’ll be a productive trip too. I’d have preferred Australia, but the trip’s too far for me (10 hours) 🙁

Incredibly and hilariously, my parents aren’t going to be in Singapore the entire time we’re there! They’re off skipping around Australia on (yet another) holiday. D’oh!! But at least I’ll have a nice lazy time around Singapore, catching up with relatives and friends, and doing much-needed baby shopping.

oh my gosh babes… I’ve been so busy with my having Greg and moving to Boston and I don’t check out my friends’ pages for yonks, and now i look and you are preggers!! And in your third tri too! Wow! Congrats – I know its late, but I’m happy for you! 🙂

Ohh perhaps it’s an Aussie thing? not sure.. It’s when an expecting couple goes away for a week-long (or so) holiday before the baby comes and all hell breaks loose, hah

How many holidays do you have at Ebay Shanghai? *total jelaous*

We just have the standard , maybe 21 days or so.. I’m taking 3 days leave and I have 2 days off from the company on top of it (as they’re all going on an offsite) so in total with weekends I get 9 days – the timing worked out perfectly, that’s why 😛

oh have fun!!! it’ll be great to have a lil getaway for just the two of you before the baby comes 🙂

SG weather is sooooo nice this week, I’m amazed! Lounging by the pool now and it’s not raining and weather is cool but still warm enough to swim. I love SG:)

Hi! Just curious if you have a post somewhere in LiveJournal (I’m digging through your old stuff heheh) about the must-see sites/things-to-do in Singapore. I want to visit soon and want to know your opinion! =) Or at least best place on line to use as a guide.
