Just got back from a very lovely holiday at the Blue Mountains 🙂 Chris surprised me with the idea about 2-3 weeks ago and booked the lovely Storey Grange for 3 nights.. in particular their “private and romantic” self-contained cottage tucked away in the woods. The place is spectacular. Owned and run by the lovely Geoff and Daphne, it’s literally like a “home away from home” as they call it, except my place nearly isn’t nearly as luxurious or well-stocked as theirs 😉 The attention to detail literally made our jaws DROP – down to the fridge filled with breakfast groceries to a bottle of champagne and lovely gourmet chocolates. Whilst the standard-type hotels are still nice, I’m totally sold on this self-contained idea, it’s brilliant!! The area was totally awash with fresh flowers, and thick with greenery. It’s really quiet and the perfect romantic getaway 🙂

We left on Friday afternoon and checked in, then headed down the road for a very quick, tasty dinner at Sai Boa Thai Kitchen. It doesn’t have great reviews online, but it was close and was packed with people, so it was the easiest choice. The food was good but not spectacular.. so nothing much to rave about. We were mostly just keen to gobble the food down and go back to the cottage to unpack and relax!
