omg we’ve been dying to check out alice’s after that repeat of the Food Lovers’ Guide the other day. Do they have a lot of kuih sweets? We need to find out her secret recipe for kuih lapis 🙂

You MUST MUST try out Alice’s! I think it’s the most authentic SG/Malaysian food IMHO.. Everything’s just lovely.
You have to be there around 11-12 to get the kuihs. Our fave’s the dar dar but all are really yum.

did you know the reason makan at alices was closed for 2 weeks was because they went to china? with my parents hahaha -chocolatesuze
OMG no but thank goodness we hadn’t visited in the past 2 weekends… it’s like 40mins drive to get there and Chris would’ve been soooo pissed, haha! It happened once before (closed for renovations) and he sulked for ages 😉

I tried the mushrooms on croissants because you posted about it a few months ago. I must admit it’s the perfect comfort food.

My wife likes to eat mushrooms on toast and the first time I saw her do it, I thought it was such a strange combination.
