Wow! What a change! Congratulations, I am very impressed after hanging read entry after entry for many, many years about deliciously junky food ;] But hooray for you! I’m getting started on getting active all over again and I know exactly what you mean about your “herculean” effort! Unfortunately I’m not quite there yet :[ But I’m trying… I’m definitely trying!

Any tips on how you motivate yourself to move?

Heh i know.. it’s like a new me now πŸ˜› I’m still going to eat nice things, but I’ll eat it ” in moderation” and my key goal is to just be more active – or rather START being active!

Soooo hard.. my motivation is just because I remember when I was 21 and really slim and lean and with no extra loose skin/fat whatsoever. Just thinking about that motivates me to look like that again πŸ˜›

First time in my life I’ve actually considered and thought about what I’m eating.. I’m quite eager to keep it going! πŸ™‚

Welcome to a health nut’s world. I’m doing cardio and strength classes 6 days week and it’s absolute madness. But the adrenaline and the endorphins that come after that is gratifying.

Whoooooa, I’m impressed!! I want to be as motivated as well. I’m sitting here on the couch, THISCLOSE to just eating dinner and vegging out watching tv.. it takes a herculean effort to get off my ass and exercise :X

Lol, trust me, once you really get it going, you’ll be too motivated to stop. Only draw back? You’ll be obsessed with gym attire. I hardly buy proper clothes anymore. Always hog Nike and Lorna Janes…

hm. hard to know what to say cause i think you are far from ugly and flabby πŸ™‚ but i think learning about nutrition is great and can only be a good thing. That chicken looks fabulous AND healthy by the way!

You haven’t seen me in real life πŸ˜› I’m not obese but I certainly could do with a lot of toning! But I’m ready to start now πŸ™‚

Hee chicken rice is one of the most unhealthy foods.. a LOT of oil, but at least it tastes good! πŸ˜›

Well …. that certainly explains why i’m a tub of lard!!! lol…i cant tell a healthy food from one with a ton of oil!! rofl….

wow. it REALLY does look like a healthy dish.

damn.

the chicken rice… *salivates*!

i NEED to lose those flabby bits dangling from my arms and tummy! but i can never get myself to run or do anything athletic even. how to lose weight like that? =/

It wasn’t really authentic, but it was good πŸ˜€

It’s REALLY hard to lose flabby bits, I heard!! esp the pot belly πŸ™

i signed up for the US calorieking version after you downloaded that software and mentioned how useful it was in your previous post! i was just considering joining online too – they have a great database for recipes and articles!

one trend i’m noticing is that i almost always exceed my fat limit, but never my caloric or protein limit – do you have that same problem? any suggestions?

thanks for introducing me to calorieking!

The online version of the software is better IMHO as you can access it anywhere.. so I don’t have to remember what I ate whilst I was at work. Also great forums and articles like you said πŸ™‚ I think it’s a great price if it means I can stay committed!

I have the same prob – yesterday I exceeded my protein limit but I ate a LOT of meat – I find it hard to make up my protein and fiber quotas!

You. Are. SO. NOT. Ugly. Or. Fat! You nut!!!

Although, a new healthy exercise regimen is always fab…so good for you!

it’s all abitrary, where you draw the line and who you compare yourself to! πŸ˜› I would like to be fit and healthy and lean.. I like the sound of that πŸ˜€

Good on you! I’m proud of you!
I have a similar thing where I note all my food intake and exercise per day. It’s a Weight Watchers one and is fantastic, because like you, I can update it at home or work as well!

Yeah it’s similar but instead of points, I use calories (and the breakout of fibre, carbs, etc).

I like it, it’s an eye-opener, seeing what the nutrition values of food really are!
