mmMMMMmmmmm…that sounds good! I’ve made something a bit similar (at least in preparation) that’s Cuban. FOr some reason, I cna’t recall the name at all!

Okay, still can’t think of what it’s called, but…..

This is such a Cuban dish- virtually no measurements. haha

rice to be served with this dish-
white rice cooked with red or black (pre-cooked) beans
water
1/4-1/2 teaspoon of paprika
garlic powder
olive oil
salt & pepper

main dish-
lean ground beef (about a pound)
one tomato (peeled and diced)
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 onion (chopped fine)
1.5 cloves of garlic (chopped fine)
1/2 small can of tomato sauce or tomato paste
oregano, basil, paprika, parsley, pepper
pinch of ketchup, pinch of mustard
5-10 cut green olives in final minute of cooking (optional)

no cooking times are given either, but i think it takes maybe 25 minutes?

i wish i had actual #s, because while the dish is always good, when it’s done just right, it’s REALLY tasty.

Whoooa that’s a lotta ingredients! I’m bookmarking it cos I dont’ want to buy all the bottles and sauces and stuff since I’m only cooking for another week. But when I move to my own apartment in Jan I can buy full bottles of spices and stuff since we’ll be cooking for the whole year, and I can make it then! It sounds really tastey :)~
