Yeah language and culture were a big shock for us, you’ll be in a similiar position too. I suppose the difference was that both of us had our companies move us over so we didn’t need to look for a job, so not sure howdifficult it would be!

We live in Jingan, it’s a lovely area 🙂

Were you nervous to move to Shanghai? My bf keeps saying he wants to find a job in HK or Shanghai. I think I’d be that “trailing spouse”. I think I could handle HK, possibly Shanghai but it’s still a big culture shock for me from North America and not knowing any Mandarin, not really knowing anyone and I’m not sure how I’d find a job lol.

Our hotel (the Hilton on Hua Shan was in Jing’An! That temple was so pretty all lit up at night! I liked that area! It was easy to get to the subway from our hotel and the subway lines got us everywhere!
