FOOD, My recipes FROZEN CHOCOLATE-BANANA BITES 3 July 2012

These frozen chocolate-banana bites make an AWESOME dessert. In fact, I actually think they trump ice cream and other frozen desserts! And it’s not even really a ‘recipe’ per se, because it’s so laughably easy to make. Fun for kids to make with you as well, and guaranteed they’ll love ’em.

I am definitely making up many batches of these and storing them in our freezer. Great for when I have girl friends over for play dates or when we do more BBQ parties etc.. And, have I mentioned how EASY they are to make?

Don’t believe me?

Check it out………..

Banana bites (2)
Put a dollop of smooth peanut butter on a banana slice

Banana bites (1)
Dip the whole thing in chocolate (choc chips melted in the microwave with a splash of milk) to coat. Chocolate should be like the consistency you see above – thick and gooey

Banana bites (3)
Place on a greased baking tray and freeze for at least 3 hours

Banana bites (4)
Enjoy your Frozen chocolate-banana bites. WARNING: freakin’ addictive!!!!

omg. I am so making these. They’re similar to the ones with pretzels I make but frozen banana!

Hi, I bloghopped over and wanted to tell you that this is such a fabulous recipe/idea!

I am trying to figure out how to do this with already-frozen bananas.

Thanks much!

Oo yeah wonder if that works?! I suppose just slice em up and go ahead as per the above, then freeze? Just that you’ll have to work quickly cos I assume the frozen bananas will melt quickly

He’d love it too as a dessert! Just wish it could be taken out (without turning all mushy) so he can have it as a snack whilst I have lunch..
