Christmas BAKING CHRISTMAS GINGERBREAD COOKIES WITH KIDS 19 December 2017

I’m a huge fan of baking with kids. We do a fair bit of chocolate chip cookies, banana bread, etc.. it’s way healthier if you DIY at home, since you can control the amount of sugar that goes in.

Plus, that SMELL of freshly baked goods!

I make Gingerbread cookies every year, usually as gifts to colleagues, friends and family. It’s a nice, personal gift IMHO and actually really straightforward to make. I use this recipe and it has never failed me.

Hunter was home with me in the afternoon, so we made the dough, and then spread it out flat. He then pressed the cookie cutter shapes into the dough and decorated them with gold sugar beads. Easy peasy!

6 minutes in the oven was all it took, and we made 3 batches. The smell of freshly baked gingerbread cookies…. oh my! Way to get in the Christmas mood.

We baked a big batch for Christmas carolling, and they were all gone in a few minutes, so Hunter was really proud of his work 🙂

Shaking their bells and getting into the (very loud) Christmas spirit. I can’t believe Christmas is just under a week away.. and shortly after that it’s Goodbye 2017 and Hello 2018! Where does all the time go?!
