Living in... Singapore WHO KNEW PUBLIC TRANSPORT COULD LOOK SO CUTE? 22 January 2015

Singapore EZlink card - Little Twin Stars, Wonder Woman

I thought that, in my middle-age, I had grown past the whole cutesy phase.

Apparently not.

I SQUEALED LIKE A LITTLE GIRL when I went to buy an EZ-Link card and the guy behind the counter whipped out this Little Twin Stars one and asked me if I’d like to buy this design.

UM YES PLEASE GIVE IT TO ME LIKE RIGHT NOWWWW *lunges*

So I’m now the proud owner of a sickly sweet and oh-so-girly Little Twin Stars card. Boy I’m pleased with myself! Isn’t it prettiness and cuteness overload?

It’s a nice contrast to my other EZ-Link card, which is *flexes* Wonder Woman.

The other (completely random, IMHO) card is Chris’ The Joker card.

EZ-Link cards are Singapore’s swish way to get around via public transport. You just swipe in and out of buses, trains, boats etc.. and top up at any station. They’ve also been really clever and release limited edition designs every so often, to reel in suckers like myself.

Since we’ve moved to our new place, I’ve done a total 180 degrees and almost never drive. It’s all public transport for me, baby! We are blessed in Singapore to have top notch public transport. The seats are all spotless, it’s air-conditioned, and there is lots of space (the last one is biased, cos I travel during non-peak hours). Transport arrives every few minutes, and it’s all super efficient. Plus, the drivers are all really nice and always give a friendly hello back!

I LOVE public transport in Singapore and will even go out of my way to use it now, instead of driving (where I face a gazillion and one assholes on the road). So I’m really pleased to have cute EZ-Link cards to go with my latest obsession!
