Family, HUNTER, CARTER & CHLOE JURONG BIRD PARK 10 May 2014

We went on a little family excursion to the Jurong Bird Park over the Easter break!

We’ve actually brought the kids a couple of times already, but they are always happy to head back for a repeat visit. Their favourite is the two morning bird shows – one with hawks/vultures etc, and another one with a variety of birds. The kids are totally captivated!

Hunter waved his arm around when they are asking for volunteers, but he never gets picked because they only choose older kids or adults.

There is an indoor bird nursery area, which is a great place to cool off. It’s also really fascinating! You’ll see eggs and hatching birds in various stages of development, and ridiculously cute (though some a little odd looking!) baby birds.

Hunter was amazed and soaked up all the information, whilst Carter amused himself checking out all the baby birds and pointing out “poo poo there!!! Ewww.. dirty” with much glee.

We fed the kids a packed peanut butter sandwich lunch with iced milo packets. It was a brilliant idea feeding them through one of the bird shows, because it kept them sitting down and still. They gobbled everything up enthusiastically – so now we know they like sandwiches! Not exactly a nutritious lunch for them, but oh well… it worked.

No trip to the bird park is complete without a tram ride. Always an endless source of enjoyment for the kids!

A pic that the staff kindly took of our family. With flamingos wandering around us!
