HUNTER, CARTER & CHLOE, School FIRST DAY OF DROP-OFF PLAYGROUP 22 January 2014

sc

So both kids have just started their Playgroup! It was momentous for us because now both kids have drop-off school. They’re enrolled 3x/week, for 3 hours each time. It’s not a whole lot of time for myself, but it’s definitely better than before (ie. zero)!

Hunter attended for a few months last year, 2x/week.. so he’s familiar with the place. So he had zero problems and was happy as punch saying buh-bye to me. Then again, he’s never had a problem with being dropped off at playgroup before… and has never spilled tears saying bye to me!

Carter, on the other hand, is a totally different ballpark. He was fine when I said bye, because he had no concept of me leaving him and him being ALONE. So the teacher said that after about 5-10 mins, when it really sank in that I was gone…. ohhhh the dramatics started!

He’s been 3 times now, and improves each time (ie. less crying when I leave), so here’s hoping that he’ll be fine with it a few times more…

This is them, at home, before their first day together!

They are having a Dinosaurs and Reptiles theme at school this term, so there’s this little flat dish outside with toy dinos and sand to excavate through. Cuteness!

This is Carter’s first taste of being in a classroom. They’re doing a bit of water play and textures here.

Because of their close age gap, both Hunter and Carter are in the same classroom. The teachers were very interested because this was the first time they’ve had siblings in the same class…. but turns out it’s not that exciting because it’s been reported they mostly just ignore each other and play separately. LOL.

My baby boys… they grow up oh-so-quickly!!
