Hunter, HUNTER, CARTER & CHLOE, Hunter's progress HUNTER AT 2 YEARS 7 MONTHS 19 September 2013

My darling first born fascinates us every day. I love this 2-3 year old stage, and the explosion of words that come with it. Not just vocab and nouns, but full on logical sentences, inferences, and the ability to make witty jokes. He’s so fun to chat with, so cheeky, and so silly!

Best of all, because his little friends are all around the same age, he’s starting to have real conversations with them! They are getting much better at parallel play (though 90% of the time us mums end up having to mediate tussles), and are much more independent together and require less supervision.

He’s never been much of a crafty kid, or one that likes to sit down with a notebook and doodle or colour in. So I was VERY surprised when he started being OK with sitting at the dinner table and doing colour matching and assorted doodling games. So his attention span lasts about 10-15 mins, but hey, I’ll take what I can get!

One of my favourite photos. Taken in the evening, just before bedtime, when he leaned over and said “I wanna kiss mama!” *melt*
