HUNTER, CARTER & CHLOE LASCAL BUGGY BOARD MINI 12 March 2013

I’d been eyeing the Lascal buggy board mini since I fell pregnant with Carter. I know it’s not always feasible to push a tank double-stroller around, so I was looking for an alternative that would let me fit my two kids on my existing Bugaboo Bee+.

The reason why I like our Bugaboo is because it just feels good. The suspension is top notch, the seat is large enough for a toddler like Hunter to sleep in comfortably, and everything about it is just smooth and lovely.

I’m really glad that this Lascal buggy board is letting me use the Bugaboo with BOTH kids now!

Here’s how it works with both kids:

Yes I know the above photo is like the rainbow brigade, it wasn’t intentional I swear!

The Lascal docks onto the Bugaboo and Hunter simply steps on/off as he chooses. I will caveat this – Hunter is quite the cautious kid that listens to instructions really well… so if he’s asked to get on and STAY ON THE BOARD, he will. I really do think you need to think about what your child’s personality is like before buying one. If your kid is the sort that’s really active and won’t stand still, this simply won’t work, since you can’t exactly tie them down onto this board.

Another benefit – both kids get to look at each other and interact

Carter loves looking at Hunter and giggles and smiles away, and Hunter can lean forward to give him a hug. It’s pretty cute!

And I don’t have a photo, but the board lifts up and clips in place… so you can have it neatly up when it’s not in use. Here’s where it’s awesome – when it’s up, it basically gives the kid in the stroller a footrest, so their ankles don’t dangle off the stroller seat.

IT’S AWESOME.

When the Lascal buggy board is up, I feel ‘safer’ with Carter in there because it sort of gives me the security that he won’t lunge himself out. And, when Hunter is sleeping, he can prop his feet up which is more comfy that his feet dangling off into the air.

It’s light weight so it doesn’t add much to the stroller, and it easily clips on/off. I really like it and I’m now finding I’m using my Bugaboo & Lascal buggy board combination daily now.

Best part? The Lascal buggy board docks onto basically EVERY stroller out there. Impressive!

You can get it at Mothercare. I’m actually selling mine now, it’s in mint condition. Let me know if you’re interested 🙂

Do you know if it fits on the micralite fast fold? I went onto the website but its not listed. How much are you selling it for?

THey say they fit all strollers, but perhaps go to MOthercare and ask to try it out? It’s SG$99 and I will sell for 30% less, so $69 🙂

Hi Beverly, has your buggy board been sold? Just wondering why you don’t have use for it anymore?

Hi Sherlyn, I haven’t listed it yet as I’ve been away in Copenhagen (and errr also cos I’ve been lazy). If you want to purchase it let me know. I don’t use it anymore as I used it back when Carter was much smaller and I baby-carried him whilst Hunter napped in the stroller (and when Hunter was awake, he’d stand on the board whilst Carter sat in the stroller). Now Carter is too heavy so I push both around in strollers!

Hi Beverly, just drop by to say I enjoy reading your blog, especially that you update it almost daily!

PS. I saw you guys last weekend at Spruce, when Hunter seems to be having a mini meltdown in his childseat. lol.

Yes i was, with my 11mths old daughter, but the childrens playroom was too crowded and stuffy so didn’t spent much time there. My frens kid wanted to go on the bouncy castle, but i guess it was just wayy too hot!!

What do you do for naps? Does H go in the buggy and C get carried then? Thats the problem i had. Also, when you flip the seat to forward facing, there isn’t much room left for H to stand. Or are you keeping it parent facing for longer?

Yeah I baby carry Carter whilst Hunter sleeps in the stroller! I also do back-facing only since the two boys like to look at each other. I’d imagine if it was forward-facing, I’d just push the seat upright so Hunter can still stand and hold on?

Errr…. another off topic. I was at the organic supermarket – Four Seasons at Parkway Parade, and saw Thomas the train shaped (dried) pasta! Remember Hunter is their fan. Just in case you are not aware…. they also have in Bart Simpsons shaped, very cute!
