Beauty ETTUSAIS MINERAL WHITE BB CREAM & FOAMY RICH MOUSSE 27 September 2012

Goodies from Ettusais (item in the box is a gift-with-purchase USB key, cute or what?!)

I’m a fan of Japanese cosmetics, and particularly like Ettusais. You can see previous reviews here and here. I recently read online the raves on their newest product, the Foamy Rich Mousse. It’s a face cleanser and comes in an aerosol can, which is the way I like my cleansers to be – I don’t like gel/liquid cleansers that I have to rub in my hands first to foam up, it’s a hassle and more difficult! Once you’ve tried this sort of self-foaming cleanser that comes out fluffy, you’ll never go back 😉

So this Foamy Rich Mousse caught my eye because I read that the foam was super dense. And it is! It’s spongey and fluffy and not watery at all. It puffs up straight out of the can, and is almost the texture of cream when you spread it on your face. It’s a dream to rub in, and best of all, it washes off easily and cleanly. It doesn’t make my skin feel stripped or dry, but just soft and clean.

I specifically like using this cleanser in the morning because it’s so fuss-free, great for when I’m bleary eyed and trying to get through my morning routine quickly before either kid wakes up or fusses. Which is about 5 whole minutes, tops 😉

Fluffeh!!

And…. and…. oh boy…. I’m actually really excited to talk about this, which is a bit embarrassing since I’m only talking about makeup.. but their Mineral White BB cream is something amazing!!!

It comes in a small tube which I like – petite and great for travelling. This Mineral White version is new, and gives more of a “dewy” and “lightening” effect compared to their regular BB cream. I was initially worried since I can get oily skin, and the word dewy kinda freaks me out. But I’m glad I took the plunge – I love it.

Mineral White BB cream

It has SPF45 which I like, yet isn’t oily at all. I actually got their darkest colour (30), and it suits me just fine. It blends into my exact skin tone, and the texture is smooth and creamy and so so easily melts into my skin, yet it’s not oily or wet.

Now… correct me if I’m wrong, but I’ve NEVER put a bare-faced, makeup-less photo of myself (GULP!) on my blog. And certainly not a CLOSE UP!!

But, to give you an idea of how good this BB cream is…. I decided I would suck up my vanity and do it 😉

So here below you have it: one fully makeup-less photo taken in the morning after I woke up, compared with one where I have the BB cream on (and nothing else)……………………..

Zero makeup VS Ettusais mineral white bb cream and nothing else (note: both are of the right-side of my face, I just flipped one of the pics over!)

Impressed? I was. You can see the small freckle I have near my chin is almost invisible now. Redness under my nostril is also heaps better. Dark eye circles are less obvious. Pores and overall skintone is improved.

The coverage is actually pretty decent for a BB cream, though it’s still nowhere near as dramatic as foundation. But, it wears so well, feels so comfortable on, and doesn’t give me oilies. Thus, I love it 🙂

Hunter, with perfect poreless skin – NATURALLY. Life is so unfair…

Just a random pic, taken by my brother-in-law that visited us last week. Carter and Hunter chilling out in the cot!

Hi Bev, I know this is an old post but I’m going to take the plunge and try this. Just wondering do you wear the BB cream over moisturiser or on it’s own?

I just received my delivery of both of these today ( from Ichibankao as Ettusais is not available in either Au or Malaysia anymore 🙁 ) can’t wait to try them out along with the Peeling Milk and the mineral powder!

Wow! Your skin looks great! I’m amazed that you’re wearing the darkest shade. It isn’t dark by any stretch of the imagination. I wonder how it would be available to Australia. *off to search the internet.*

Edit – Damn. Just checked the ingredients and the top ingredient is dimethicone, and my skin doesn’t tolerate silicones. 🙁 Back to the drawing board.

Yeah, weird huh? To be honest I could probably do #20 as well, but I prefer to veer on the dark side than too light!

I’m guessing eBay might be the easiest way to get it? It’s pretty new tho!

Oooh..I’ve been on the lookout for a BB cream. Thanks for this post,I’m going to give it a try. Have you tried the mineral powder? They don’t sell this in Sydney so resorting to buying on ebay. 🙁
