Family, Hunter SINGAPORE ZOO 8 June 2012

We had a pretty EPIC play date……… at the Singapore Zoo! It turned out to be a very nice family outing, and the kidlets had lots of fun. It was a great idea, especially because Hunter had been to Taronga Zoo in Australia just 2 weeks prior.. so we thought it’d be really good to reinforce it all especially since his memories of all those animals were still fresh in his mind.

We started off with breakfast at Epicurious Cafe, where the kids had a fab time hoovering up the food. Brunch-type food is the best for young children IMHO, it’s our new favourite meal of the day ๐Ÿ˜‰ They’re still happy and cheery from a good night’s rest, and the soft foods like scrambled eggs, french toast, pancakes etc etc are right up their alley.

We were fortunate that it was bright and sunny the whole day, with no sign of rain at all. On the downside, it was pretty sweltering. It IS Singapore, so what do you expect? ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s pretty tough traipsing around in the heat and humidity when you’re pregnant – that’s for sure. Worth it though, because Hunter didn’t appear very bothered by the heat and in fact enjoyed himself.

Fab way to cool off after a day at the zoo is at their water theme parkย in the children’s area. It is F-U-N!! So colourful and with lots of water jets everywhere etc. Waterbaby Naomi had an absolutely blast and enjoyed herself, whilst Hunter just tolerated it. He was OK walking around checking stuff out, but is simply not a fan of having water splashed in his face, so he was pretty disgruntled with the water jets ๐Ÿ˜‰

A zoo excursion in Singapore guarantees humidity and sweat, but fully worth it. We’re planning to go at the end of the year when it’s a little cooler and Hunter will be older too. And, with our little #2 in tow!

Yeah it is! It looks better on the model cos she’s not pregnant haha. But I’m looking forward to wearing it post-birth ๐Ÿ™‚

Love this post! Hubby and I were just thinking of bringing Enoch there this July when we are back, so it’s good to read that it’s heaps of fun for the kids.

Love your dress too!!

Shall we go once more before you pop? Or is it a bit much now with the weight and swelling? I’ll get the passes in gear this time, they were right – I have to borrow some card thing!!
