PRICE: $$$$
RATING: ????-

One of our French friends dropped by Singapore for a bit, so we went out to DB Bistro Moderne at MBS for lunch. The French bistro is really pretty inside, and serves up some damn good food.

We settled for fairly light fare, since it was lunchtime and we didn’t feel like any heavy dishes like steak, etc. Β I really enjoyed the dishes and was pleased that portion sizes were enough to fill us.

If you like refined French dining in a smart-casual ambience, this is for you πŸ™‚

Hi beverly, love all your food posts πŸ™‚ Those burgers look very good, but were they small?

Here in Copenhagen has just opened a Singaporean restaurant – I have never really tried SGP dishes before except for Laksa and Hainanese chicken rice. If you have time, maybe you can tell me which are must try dishes on the menu? My husband and I are going there next week πŸ™‚

They were small in width but very high/thick.. so they still satisfied πŸ™‚

How fun that an SG restaurant has opened where you are!! For me, personally, I’d try the Murtabak or Kosong, Nyonya Pohpia, and Beef Rendang (many of the items on the menu don’t even exist here in SG, lol).

None of the desserts are actually Singaporean, but I’m a sucker for chocolate so I would get the choc fondant πŸ™‚

Thanks for the tips! πŸ™‚ I went there with my hubby today and I ordered my fav. laksa dish. However to my disappointment, my Laksa was soo tiny like a kid dish, and the most important of all, it costs SG 20.5!! To be honest, I will have to order 4-5 portions in order to get full. I dont think I’ll go back there again. Too bad because I was actually looking so much forward before the opening.

Wow! That really looks like some light lunch fare! Hee!
*wink* Yes I’ve tried out the place too and it’s quite yummy!
