Family, Hunter, Uncategorized SINGAPORE BOTANICAL GARDENS 16 July 2011

We went out on a little morning/day trip to the Singapore Botanical Gardens, Hunter’s first time there πŸ™‚ The Gardens are really gorgeous, and make for a lovely morning walk.. it’s not too hot either, but does get humid as we near midday. Tons of shade though, since there’s so much greenery around.. and it’s especially nice sitting in the pavilion overlooking Swan Lake and enjoying the breeze πŸ™‚

To be honest though, Hunter spent 90% of the time asleep πŸ˜‰ Then when he woke up, he was amazed with all the sights and sounds and stared all round… then fell asleep again when we adjourned for lunch, haha! No stamina. Going to the Botanical Gardens makes such a nice family outing though.. we want to make a weekly trip out of it, errrr if we can get up in time.

At the Singapore Botanical Gardens

Pretty trees and greenery

Hard to believe this is in the middle of the city

Happy chappy

I loved these flowers when I was a kid

Gorgeous colours

In the Orchid Garden

Bright orange orchids

Happy as a clam in the pavilion overlooking Swan Lake

CUDDLES!

Completely fascinated with a pet parrot that someone had with them

A cheap & cheerful local lunch at Mr Prata

Highly amused with…… a water bottle! Who knew they were so hilarious?

Heey you were at my workplace! Do check out the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden next time. Hunter’s probably too small for all the play equipment, but it’s a really nice place created specially for kids πŸ™‚

Hunter is such a dear! And his laughter is so contagious πŸ™‚ Love it how babies crack up over the simplest of things! Am going to bring my son to check out nature in Singapore when we’re back this Aug too πŸ™‚

Yes! it really brings such joy and makes you appreciate the little things in life πŸ™‚ We should meet up and go together in Aug!

Hey babe its the Botanic Garden. πŸ™‚ Not Botanical. But wow…Hunter slept most of the time! He is such an easy baby to bring out in a pram! Isy would yell and cry his lungs out in the pram, only when I wear him in a sling would he be quiet and calm.

Oh oops didn’t realise I got the name wrong heh

Hunter was practically born into his Bugaboo.. we used it from the very start, so I think he’s used to it and likes being in it!

Its great that he loves his buggy!! Both Tabby and Isy never took to the buggy although Tabby started fighting less after she turned 1. Isy was so colicky that I had to wear him all the time. But my back really aches from all the carrying. πŸ™

Hi, we have been to Singapore twice and can’t believe we didn’t go to the gardens! The orchids are gorgeous, the flowers that you said you liked as a kid I just bought some for the first time last week and they are so pretty. I think they are commonly known as dancing ladies, I read the name is from if you put a unopened flower into a opened flower it looks like a dancing lady i.e. bodice and full skirt πŸ™‚ hunter is growing up, he is a little cutie ! Stefanie

YES I call them Dancing Ladies too!! But when we were there they had a cryptic scientific name so I thought I’d better not call them Dancing Ladies on my blog in case it was just my family that called em that… heh
