Uncategorized, Wedding WEDDING: part 6 – the lunch reception 22 December 2009

Everyone adjourned downstairs for morning tea and we also cut our wedding cake.

Yep, THE Wedding Cake.

Lychee Martini, Baileys Chocolate Crunch, Orange Chocolate flavours, one per tier.

I was totally blown away when I saw the wedding cake.. it was GORGEOUS. Not being biased or anything! πŸ˜› You see, I have an aversion to the regular standard wedding cake, with the thick marzipan layer and fruit cake interior. EWWW!!! I don’t like any of it. And so Dad declared he wanted me to have the cake of my dreams and they got us this one. It actually couldn’t have been any more perfect – the delicious layers were encased in a light, freshly whipped cream and wrapped in a satin green ribbon, with cream roses strewn all around it.

Looking at the cake just gave me goosebumps, because it was EXACTLY how I pictured our wedding cake to be like. And the flavors? DIVINE :)~ It was probably the star of the whole wedding…. so many people came up to me afterwards and raved about it, so I’m so glad our guests liked it too πŸ™‚
