Uncategorized, Wedding WEDDING TASTE-TESTING 6 September 2009

One of the cool things about having a wedding? The food tasting! We managed to squeeze it in just a few days before the wedding.. We did the wedding dinner banquet taste testing – I think I posted pics earlier when we were still in Singapore, can’t really remember now!

And then there was the wedding tea reception taste testing, which Mum and Dad did a lot of research on and came up with Mum’s Kitchen, who could whip up assorted hot foods, sushi and cakes for the reception after the wedding. They delivered a BIG box full of food for us to sample.. which was meant for “4 people” but actually was more like for 8 πŸ˜‰

The best taste testing, though, was at Pine Garden – our wedding cake!!! Really really really reallllyyyyy glad we did not go for that awful generic fruit cake. I can’t stand the stuff πŸ˜‰ Ours was a fresh cake with fresh cream on the outside, encircled with a green ribbon and cream/champagne flowers. The flavours? Baileys Chocolate Crunch, Jaffa Orange, Lychee Martini, 1 per tier. It was the best (and most unusual) wedding cake I’ve ever had in my life… and Chris and I loved it! YAY for Dad’s brilliant idea!

Mum’s Kitchen! Not my mum though πŸ˜›
