Honeymoon, Maldives, Uncategorized, Wedding HONEYMOON IN THE MALDIVES – your choice of 5 restaurants 30 August 2009

Dinner. Ahhh….. one of the best parts of the day, because we could get plonked on cocktails and wine and enjoy some really fine food. The Shangri-La has 5 restaurants, Javuu being the main restaurant where we also have our breakfast (it’s the one right on the beach)…. Fashala which is perched above the water and offers the best sunset views on the island as well as a killer BBQ… and Khazaanaage which has 3 dining rooms – ‘Southern China’, ‘Arabian’ and ‘Indian’ – all themed and serving the associated cuisine.

5 large restaurants, and around 100 or so guests.. you do the math on just how crowded they were πŸ˜‰ It was fantastic not being squished into a restuarant, herded and rushed to order and feeling cramped and having to suffer lack of service. Shangri-La’s restaurants were just the exact opposite of all that – really attentive, dedicated service.. and very fine cuisine. These guys cook well. We each had a 3-course meal each night, as well as multiple cocktails and wines. Decadence at its finest πŸ˜›
