FASHION, Hong Kong, Uncategorized HONG KONG – DIOR SUNNIES ARE LOVE 24 June 2009

Didn’t really get to do much shopping in Hong Kong. Actually, pretty much didn’t get to see the inside of shops at all! Only managed to do a mini stint at Clarks shoes and go this awesome pair of black leather heels. I’d always thought Clarks did super comfortable, but daggy shoes, so pretty cool they’ve done sexy looking heels now! They are TRES comfy – I’m bad with heels.. I either walk funny or they just hurt like hell, or both. But these are super soft, no biting, and no soreness at all after walking around in them. I’m regretting not buying ’em in another colour!

And at Hong Kong airport, I had to make the (very difficult) decision of 1) relax in Business Class lounge and stuff my face with their great food or 2) go shopping in the airport. Hong Kong airport has fabulous shops, so that won over πŸ˜‰ Did a mega quick blitz around and picked up some Christian Dior sunglasses.

I absolutely LOVE ’em because I have such issues finding sunnies. I have an oddly shaped head or something. Sunnies either don’t fit, or they don’t sit on top of my head properly. It’s so so so hard, and I literally try hundreds of ’em! These Dior ones are, by far, the best I’ve ever owned. They sit nicely on my face, don’t rest on my cheeks, and prop up nicely on top of my head without falling. Plus, they have sparkles on the side, which just said “BUY ME!!!” πŸ˜‰

And then it was onto a plane to…… Singapore, here I come!!!

I have the same problem too!! I hate it when they sit on your cheeks and then your glasses start to fog up haha it’s so so so embarassing

My Tom Ford sunnies are by far the best I’ve got!! They fit perfectly on my non-existant bridge of my nose.

I doubt it’s the shape of your face. It’s probably the presence of nose bridge support thingies that helps sunnies not rest on cheeks!

Love the shoes and sunnies. I may just go look for the same shoes to buy. πŸ˜€

Are you in Singapore now? How long are you here for?

Sunglasses are gorgeous!

And yay for comfy heels! I am always on the lookout for them. Found some the other day on my shoe shopping blitz! Well, mostly comfy πŸ˜› Want to wear them in August, but don’t think it will be practical to bring them…must.pack.lightly! πŸ˜›

Was so delighted I found the shoes! Powerwalked in them all round town today for ages and NO pain and it was all comfy, so happy πŸ™‚

Heheh aug will be fuuuun, can’t wait to see ya

I’m with nycarm, totally hear you! I pretty much only wear Dior sunnies as they suit my face best but having the Asian flat face means my sunnies always sit on my cheeks too. A Dior Gold Coast SA told me they’re actually doing a few Asian specific styles now (LV have for ages) that are specifically designed to combat the sit-on-cheeks problem. Could these be one of them?

Sunnies

Bev, I know EXACTLY what you mean by how hard it is to find sunnies. I think we have similar face shapes, plus I have no bridge on my nose, so my sunnies always end up sliding down my face, and then being propped up by my cheeks when I smile…gah!! So congrats on finding the perfect pair!

Hope the wedding prep so going well. Any update with that?

Re: Sunnies

Yeah it is soooo annoying, esp when it’s hot, and the sunnies just feel uncomfortable on the cheeks, blah!! These are just AWESOME πŸ™‚ wedding preps going well, thanks πŸ™‚
