FASHION, Living in... Shanghai, Uncategorized RETAIL THERAPY 4 May 2009

Friday was a public holiday for us, which was MUCH needed because I was like a zombie from the strange sleeping habits I’ve been keeping lately (cos was looking after Star round the clock). Lounged about at home, mostly still doing the 2 hour feeding thing with Star, and watching a truckload of DVDs. I did manage to go out for a spot of shopping during the day though – just to maintain my sanity πŸ˜‰ Changle Lu is walking distance from my place, and I’ve never actually been there, so went for a wander since it was such a bright and sunny day. It’s filled with little boutiques – which I prefer way more than the mainstream stores.

I spotted a gorgeous silk BCBG dress, all brightly coloured and with gorgeous stones/beads along the neckline. It’s a shift dress to just above the knees, so awesome for an office dinner function or out on a date. I love the feel of the dress, and the quality of the fabric and stitching. Can’t wait to wear it! πŸ™‚

This park is right outside the apartment (which you can see in the background)
but I never knew it existed until I stumbled upon it whilst walking home!

Are we really in the middle of Shanghai city?

Such a bright & pretty dress!
Glad to hear that Star is feeling better πŸ™‚ *lots of ferret-y hugs for Star*

Ok so I grabbed a CityWeekend Shanghai magazine (the one with a beach ball and sandpail on the cover), and while reading through it in the airport saw a picture of you and a review of a restaurant! What a small small world to see you in a majorly distributed city magazine!

Love the dress dear.. Tho I prefer to see the whole full length version ;p
I’m glad u r getting ur groove back after everything… U deserve the dress πŸ™‚

The full-length version looks nicer when worn though, and I’m too lazy to put it on to take a pic, hee!! When I next wear it I’m gonna πŸ™‚

Hello!

Wow Beverly! I just read finished about what had happened to Star! I knew exactly how you feel.. I felt the same way when I was in Vancouver and my dog golden retriever was sick and hospitalized! after paying cad4500 for the operation, we bought him an insurance and claim from it;P We only need to pay the co-pay which is about cad200 not too bad heh. hopefully you are doing better and life goes on:)
