It’s so unfortunate Prague was like that πŸ™ Take away the danger and it’s such a super super gorgeous place!

It’s scary you took a cab with 2 girls and no guys!!! Glad you are ok!!

Haha, it’s funny that you’ve updated for a week and still not reached the Singapore leg of your journey!

Ya… thought if there’s a group of us it will be fine. I’m glad nothing bad happened to us!

Heh yeah I am SUPER slow πŸ˜‰

that creeps me out!! again..i have heard alot of good sides of Prague but again it is still a Eastern European country..always have to be more careful at night or dont go somewhere you are not supposed to go..

it’s really sad these people give their own city a bad name πŸ™ because I know none of us will dare to go back just because of that..!

I’ve actually heard some of this stuff here and there. Where you pretty much have to pay the higher prices/bribe to get your things, and the extras are probably going to a larger crime boss.

Yeah the purposely jacked up cab fares were a bit scary… it’s really frustrating ‘cos you KNOW they’re crooks but there’s nothing you can do about it! ;(

food looks superb as always. Again, I am glad to hear that you were alright. Europe is beautiful but yes, there is a bad side. I was always alert or tried to be. It’s unfortunate that you have to be on the look out.

It’s a shame, ‘cos Eastern Europe is just gorgeous! I’m not normally so alert ‘cos it’s so much safer in Sydney/Singapore, so it was a good wake up call..

Wow, that is absolutely horrible! I had a very different experience; while they weren’t super friendly, most people were quite nice and although I’m always cautious, it didn’t seem any worse than say Rome or Paris where I’ve had friends who’ve been pick-pocketed, but then, it was about 7 years ago when I went to Prague, and your friend’s experiences were worse than a pick pocket! I’m so glad no one was hurt!

PS. The food looks AMAZING!!

I think everyone is quite nice too! But hard to figure out if they were tourists or locals πŸ˜› I do think the locals are nice, just that a select few are really dodgy πŸ™

I still prefer pan seared foie gras to the terraines. The flavour is better and I love the melt in your mouth texture. I get my cousin to send me canned foie gras from London and I eat them with toasted broiche when the craving hits. Not exactly the healthiest snack but it’s oh so yummy. :Þ

I normally do too, but THIS particular terrine blows all other forms out of the water πŸ˜‰ Was sooo good, I wish the restaurant (or chef) was in Sydney!!

Hmmm…. think I have to disagree. I think there’s zero chance of a terrine topping straight pan seared foie gras due to the nature of it’s composition. That being said, terrines are still awesome. I remember our last foie gras and black truffle terrine at the Maldives and it was tres yum.

But pan seared foie gras is in a totally different league entirely!

Sounds like a fantastic plan to me! πŸ™‚

I definitely can’t wait and will look forward to tucking dollar bills and thank you cards into his garter belt in appreciation!!!

The chef in a garter belt is not part of the dining package!! Haha.

I can’t guarantee that the foie gras will have you in ‘total coniptions’ (???) as Bev has described it!

Heheheheh i’ve already promised friends that we will all do a dinner and have Merv cook. Just gotta figure out how much each is willing to pay for the ingredients etc, but I think everyone will be in!

Looking at your photos is making me crave escargots now…. Can’t believe you only had 2, I can easily eat a dozen on my own! :p

Sorry you had such dodgy experiences there. I thought the city was lovely but the people were so anti-foreigners, which made it a not very pleasant place to visit for me, even with nothing really bad happening. I also wouldn’t want to go back.

It was quite weird how 90% of the people here were tourists.. and the remaining 10% were locals working in the tourism industry, heh
