Outside Flinders train station, in Melbourne

The parentals!

At Federation Square

Lunch was at Movida, an awesome Spanish tapas restaurant with excellent reviews.
Ridiculously overpriced (boo!) but Sydney really has nothing like this

How cute is their business card?!

Bar area.

Delicious bread and olive oil

Queso manchego $3.00
Imported aged Manchego sheep’s milk cheese with quince paste

Croqueta $6.00
Fried silky croquette flavoured with mushrooms

Vieira, jamon y espuma $18.00
Half shell scallop oven baked with jamon and potato foam

Costilla con sobrasada $23.20
Roasted lamb cutlet encased in a Catalan pork & paprika pate

Teehee

Graffiti wall outside, where they were filming something to do
with people dressed in massive kangaroo outfits (?!)

ARGHHH a shark got me!!

These trams are everywhere, which makes driving really hard..

More shopping

Blew a small fortune at the Alannah Hill outlet store… pics coming later

Another bum shot. Thanks Dad!

Something doesn’t look quite right about that piece of cheese…. it seems so forlorn, lonely, and disparate…

And looks like a segment of a sundial that has been chopped up.

Even more awesome food!!! So cute of your dad to take impromptu shots of you and Chris! Perfect for a photoblog yeah? πŸ™‚

Beautiful pics! The light that day must have been terrific! The food looks great but omg the prices are really high – well, to me anyway πŸ™‚ They were tapas right? Seems high for tapas! yikes…

Did I miss the post with the A Hill clothes? Love to see her stuff – never see it in the states so I get my fix on your journal! LOL

MoVida’s really yummy and I like the atmosphere there too. Never been there for lunch though. I love their Cecina (cured wagyu with truffle foam and poached egg mmmm), you should have tried that!

It’s good you went there for lunch, cos it’s soooo damn difficult to get a booking for dinner there these days. Last time I tried, next available booking was 3 weeks later. Meh, I’m not organized enough to make booking so much in advance!

You know what? I was looking at the first photo with Chris and you and thinking how my friends and I haven’t thought of capturing Flinders Street Station that way. I’ve been to Melbourne a couple of times. But, somehow, all photos were taken from that traffic junction instead! haha.

Have you been to cantina bar and grill (I think that’s the name!) on Oxford street? It’s spanish and very tasty! :o) Can’t remember the exact address (got a taxi and just drove down the street until we found it) but it’s yummy! It had tapas (also pricey – but I’ve been to Spain and it’s even MORE pricey there because you’re paying in euro!!!) of all kinds and was really yum!!!

Funny thing is that melbourne isn’t considered colourful, but rather more dreary and rainy! We didn’t see that.. I thought it was awesome πŸ™‚
