Mario Brothers Pizza & Pasta are just a few mins down the road from my place, so thefragrantelf and I hit their joint the other night for some dinner. It’s warm and cosy inside, with wafts of freshly-baked pizzas throughout the small restaurant. Family-owned, they’re friendly and nice, and fortunately we were there on a Monday night so it was pretty empty. We sat for ages and they didn’t try to chase us out, plus they gave big bottles of complimentary iced water πŸ™‚

Their pizzas are authentic Italian and really good. We ordered 2 Medium pizzas (8 slices each) and easily polished them off! The crust is thin but still crisp and they’re packed with flavour. Only downside is that some of their Gourmet Pizzas have really little topping – typical of “gourmet” pizzas, annoyingly. We had the Taj Mahal (chicken with tandoori sauce with fire-roasted capsicum, caramelised onions and mint yoghurt sauce) which was the unlucky pizza to have little topping – everything was in decent portions except the chicken – one small chunk per slice. Sooo shameful!

The other pizza was Tijuana (spicy beef with pinto beans, onions, capsicum, with sour cream). I preferred this one as it had a generous portion of ingredients. The beef was really spicy though! It tasted just like nachos, mmmm… very cheese nachos… mmmmmm…….

There was just one chunk of chicken on each slice of pizza, wish there was more! But at least it had lots of youghurt sauce πŸ˜›
