yes it’s hard work! i do the same in my job and hate it when people who aren’t in the same business make comments about it. enjoy the success every bit (as i know you do)…you’ve earned every bit of it.

Yeah, having fun takes a lot of work, more than it looks 😛

you should write a book (or post) with networking tips. i admire your you and you are definitely an inspiration, especially as someone who is having dilemmas with actually finding a job that is enjoyable as well as satisfying.
your mum is very high tech – that is impressive! using ICQ is a huge step! 😛

I wish i coudl but there’s seriously no true science to it.. just kind of go with the flow and tap into other people, I guess. Plus people love talking about themselves, so ask lots of questions about their job and family 🙂
Hehe my mum’s really into the internet – tis’ so great!

You go girl!
I also wanted to comment about the incense & worship. Good for you for sticking to your guns. I would have been the outcast too:)

It was just pretty important to me now to bow/worship something that I didn’t believe in, you know? But I felt like a kid again and being the outcast.. esp when I got strange looks!

Reading this post, I thought “whoa, she must be tipsy or something!” quite different from your usual style. But still fun to read! 🙂

What a hectic day! But glad you survived it so well 🙂 I am pretty amazed at your networking abilities too, my eyes tend to glaze over when I meet new people and they start rabbiting about themselves. I’m always so sure they notice and will hate me forever, but so many people know me at work now and I can’t remember who they are!
And you can always keep weighing yourself in the morning, you’re always lighter in the morning 😉 And taller. Hehe.
