Hadn’t been to Kingsford Chinese in ages since it’s a bit far away, so a visit was in order! Perpetually packed to the brim with crazy eating folk, we were lucky to instantly get a table.. albeit having to share with another couple.

This time, we agreed not to order the Sweet & Sour Fish, which is always a staple there for us. We decided to ‘broaden our horizons’ a little, and so got Prawn Foo Yoong (Prawn and onion omelette). It was a brilliant choice. The omelette was all gooey in the center and crisp around the edges… mmmm! Plus they gave a ton of onions and big fat prawns. Really satisfying.

Of course, we also had the San Tung Chicken, because they do it THE BEST in Sydney. It comes towering on the plate, in a lovely vinegrette and topped with a generous helping of shallots. The chicken’s incredibly tender and just has that perfect taste, with crisp skin. Delicious!

Ate it all with Beef & Egg Fried Rice. It’s Chinese name is “sang chow ngao yok fan” and Chris always orders it in Chinese (quite spot-on pronounciation too!) – the lady that normally serves us recognises us and so is used to this.. but this time, it was a new person and when Chris said it, she kind of *gawked* and said “What???” before blinking and realising he was speaking in Chinese, then went “Ohhh. Haha!” So amusing. Anyway, this fried rice is just a must-have.. all oily and hot, and bursting with soft mince beef and tons of egg. Yum!

We were so stuffed afterwards, thanks to the massive dishes. But totally worth it :)~

the food looks sooooooooooooo good! I wish I can find these dishes here! egg foo yong is hard to find, san tung chicken cannot be found and the fried rice is usually not as oily which is half the fun gone! LOL! YUMMY!

I’m going to try and cook that egg foo yong, I’m sure it can’t be that hard?!
But the chicken and fried rice is impossible to cook at home – at least not as yummy as that 😛

I’m so used to it now.. at most really crowded Chinese eateries, you have to do that unless you want to wait for ages for a small table for 2 – and we’re way too impatient 😉

I was the regular customer there when I lived in New College 😛 I also love the other restaurant called “大家樂” as well!! they always have really good lunch menu offer! there are so many good restaurants on Anazc Parade!

Mmmm it was good huh? We always went there, and also Ayam Goreng 99.

Is that above restaurant the one that makes the hand-made noodles? That was yum 🙂
