The flowers are lovely – the blankets are just beautiful and its a wonderful custom. I’ve never heard of it… It looks like the day was a tribute to your grandfather… a lovely ceremony with many people remembering him. He must have been much loved

Gosh that’s so sad but you are right. He’s at peace now , and he was obviously very well loved and will be remembered. Just wondering – how old was he?

it does seem that he was well loved. it’s absolutely not selfish of you to be happy to have happy cherished memories of him, i’m sure he will be well remembered <3

It’s unfortunate I wasn’t around in the past 2 years when he started getting sick.. but at least he had tons of family around still πŸ™‚

I never heard about giving blankets πŸ™‚ At my grandfather’s funeral, it was mostly fruit and flowers.

He was a REALLY nice man.. so many wonderful stories about him and he had no enemies..he was a lovely guy πŸ™‚
