    Wow there are so many flowers! The blanket idea is a sweet tradition – they’re long lasting and will ensure he is remembered forever.

      It was a lot more than we expected.. but it made the place colourful which was nice 🙂

    I’m very sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.

    You are lucky to have wonderful memories of your grandfather. Hold on to them and keep them close to your heart.

    Wow, it was obvious how much so many people loved and adored your grandfather.

    I never heard about giving blankets 🙂 At my grandfather’s funeral, it was mostly fruit and flowers.

      He was a REALLY nice man.. so many wonderful stories about him and he had no enemies..he was a lovely guy 🙂

    it does seem that he was well loved. it’s absolutely not selfish of you to be happy to have happy cherished memories of him, i’m sure he will be well remembered <3

      It’s unfortunate I wasn’t around in the past 2 years when he started getting sick.. but at least he had tons of family around still 🙂

    The flowers are lovely – the blankets are just beautiful and its a wonderful custom. I’ve never heard of it… It looks like the day was a tribute to your grandfather… a lovely ceremony with many people remembering him. He must have been much loved
