I’m chicken too! But erm.. maybe my vanity rules πŸ˜‰
I feel safe that my uncle’s doing it as well, but nevertheless I’ll probably be shaking like a leaf before the surgery in Dec

I was just talking to a friend the other day who had lasik done recently. It sounds really good, especially since there’s suppose to be no pain involved. I’m definitely going to look into it the next time I’m in Singapore.

My cousin just got hers done with no problems, and I feel safer that my uncle’s doing it. if mine goes all well etc I’m happy to pass you his details. I can’t wait!

oh, i was just having some tests done for lasik too! πŸ™‚
But i’ve got a scar in the middle of the cornea, and the doc said there’s a higher possiblity of getting a buttonhole, which would mean aborting the ops if it happens πŸ™ Dunnoe how great the risk is.. but for vanity, i’m still gonna give it a try. Good luck to US! πŸ™‚

Well, it’s worth trying.. and if they have to stop, then at least you gave it a shot! But at least you can do it with your other eye??

wow lasik! my friend had it done, the only bad thing is when he gets really drunk his eyes get really really read. but he’s got liek 10/20 vision! i too was scared when i read u were taking accutane! please be careful with this! my guy friends were on it and then they got off of it when they heard about the horrid side affects…but please be careful….great pics of food…hmmm….

Hehe maybe it’s something to do with the dryness that some people get after the surgery. And if you ever see me getting suicidal, call the cops πŸ˜›

Any recommendations for a good BHA? =)

I went on a low dose of accutane when I was in high school. I remember it being quite beneficial – I didn’t experience any of the depression effects but it was quite drying and I remember having to use a lot of lip balm! Good luck. =)

Paulaschoice.com.au is the best – I swear by the 2% BHA gel. Even the skin specialist agreed that her products are one of the best πŸ™‚ Soooo good!

Ya I’m all armed with SPF, mosturizer and lipbalm… hehe

I’ve wanted to do it since I was 16 πŸ˜› But I was too young then, and my uncle wanted to give it a few years to let more advancements in technology come through, etc… so now, the time has finally come, hehe
My cousin got it done recently and she looks great!

Haha. Food! I didn’t even know Botanical Gardens had a new foodcourt. Gosh.

Anyway, do update about your lasik when it’s done in December! That’s something I hope I’ll be able to do in future or something.

Gd luck with everything! πŸ™‚ & be happy!

Check it out!! The food’s good :)~ Plus you can walk around outside afterwards to ‘work’ the food off.. hehe.

If you do it in future lmk and I can give you my uncle’s details.. I can’t wait to get it done in Dec πŸ™‚

I was horrified as you mentioned Accutane. A few years ago friends of mine had serious problems with acne, but then bigger problems came after they were prescribed with Accutane. Maybe nowadays, the dosage are tremendously reduced, so it’s all right.

Yeah, it’s controversial – magazines have printed stories about kids committing suicide or getting depression, etc.. but as far as I know, it hasn’t been medically proven/linked. And since I have a low dosage from a trusted Church friend and skin specialist, I have the trust. My cousin also went on it and he skin really cleared up – so lucky!

yes…. be very careful as there can be many side effects of this drug.. your skin currently looks great.. why not use more salicylic acid, glycolic acid, etc products if you still get breakouts? well, I guess it’s a really low dose so you should be fine πŸ™‚

plus you must ensure you do not use it if you become pregnant .. this drug causes major birth defects too

Accutane’s kinda the last resort.. I’ve been through the BHA/AHA and all the other treatments and they worked but they plateau after awhile. My skin isn’t awful but it still annoys me, so a really low dose of Accutane is meant to zap it, then I just use the creams as up-keep instead.

Erm… no pregnancy/kids for me!!! *scared*

hehe.. yes, I didn’t think you were planning kids at the moment πŸ˜›

but in case you’re still using Accutane in the future, it’s something to remember πŸ™‚

good luck with the treatment.. your skin will be so flawless soon.. you will look like a model! … actually, you already do πŸ™‚

I’ve got it for 4 months then that’s it.. I don’t want to be on drugs forever anyway. I’m keep to do the “zap and fix it” approach πŸ˜‰

looking forward to seeing the “before” and “after” pics.. I know you are really excited about this, and I am looking forward to seeing your new, flawless skin πŸ™‚ with the bitter cold, harsh dry winters we have in Canada, it’s a constant struggle to have healthy skin

(I also get breakouts from time to time.. even though I’m getting old… hehe)

hey Beverly,

I’m working in Sing at the moment & have been eating up a storm over here lol! Where abouts is the roti prata @ Clementi? – I would love to try it!!!!

Ooo how long are you here for?

The roti prata is called Cheese Prata and along Clementi Road. It has a big blue sign with yellow lettering, if I remember!

Hee.. yes, the scary part about being in SG is that I’m actually eating even when i’m not hungry – just for the sake of eating! So bad..
